I believe White has been preferred previously by the MC over Bower so that wouldn't surprise as he can play forward or back.

Maybe he is being considered because of a past good performance on Michael Hurley. But I didn't think he played in the Bullants on the weekend. Maybe he's injured.

Must have a.

Short memory.

If White (who plays like Livingston and looks like Prendergast) gets a game ahead of Bower and Austin, then the MC really have no clue. His kicking is worse than both of them, he is shorter and slower and he gets out muscled too easily.

Another poster who hasn't seen a game from 2009 or who can't remember that far back. If it wasn't for injury, he would have become our CHB.

Why do most posters seem to have such short memories?

Name me one good game he has played??

Oh that's right its the injuries

Our CHB, oh God don't make me laugh so hard

Oh. Yeah. They were too.

Mind you, I think Austin is a decent depth player to have who should have stayed in the side after the Eagles game. I’d keep him for another year, or maybe as a rookie.

You cannot say that he does not have the ability.

Absolutely dreaming.
He was injured (ankle?) and missed the Bullants game on the weekend.
Will be a "good" chance to return to the VFL team.
No chance for AFL.

I have alot of time for White, much more than Bower and Austin combined.

Justifies what Carlton Clem said completely in this post and why one doesn't take many posters seriously. While not sure about AA CHB he had an excellent 2009. And, yes, it has been injuries since.

Does anyone else have butterflies leading up to this game?

Mine stem from imagine us wholloping the Bummers, Beating the Weagles, scraping over Geelong in the prelim and making it to that one day in October (for this year at least).

I can actually see it. I don't want to get ahead of myself but it does bring a smile to the face.

Jim define what determines an 'excellent' year in your books?

Some of the stuff you read really is  .

Thornton was better than White in his second year.

Bower's only gone backwards due to injuries.

Extended bench this round.

Waite, Bower and Austin might be named.

I hate the wait for Sunday games. :banghead:

For mine, Warnock looms large as the player who needs to step up this week. Good to see him take some contested marks last week. If Warnock pulls out a Matthew Allan type performance against their shorter rucks, then our mids will get an unchair ride out of the middle. And we'll be away.

I am not saying i would do it but i can see the appeal of playing White. He is versatile. Gives us a second option for Hurley if Jamo doesnt come up and another target up forward if we need that. Has a big body. Trains well and has the right attitude.

Bower and Austin both appear to be on the outer for reasons i believe we will find our about in a few weeks time. Bower looked good in the reserves last week.

Ratts did throw White's name around after the Saints game so it is not really a Hotcox exclusive.

According to Warrior, Hurley's foot is a real concern for the Bombers. Will probably play, but under duress.
