A very slimy but altogether not unexpected performance by gutter crawler Robinson.

Mark Robinson has taken over Hutchi, Sheahan and Wilson as my most disliked, annoying, STFU journalist this year.
And not because of this issue. Just his articles (sorry, opinions) in general.

He makes it up half the time then changes his mind a week later.

In fairness to Robbo he was only alerted to the sling tackle by Bombers fans, they messaged him to talk about it, he had no idea it had happened. Here are his tweets on the matter in chronological order:

Quote:
One question: Watched the Blues-Saints but missed alleged Judd sling tackle.. what quarter?

Quote:
twiiter says it was third quarter. Might be ''skullduggery'' from Ess fans, but it is popular topic. Not mentioned by commentary nor on TV

Quote:
@mpask hello mate, I can't say bc it didn't register with me while I was watching...surely something would have been said if it was an issue

I find the defendant, Mark Robinson, not guilty of one-eyed bias.

This may work in our favour. Another week off and Judd will be cherry ripe............that's assuming we beat bombers this week!

No prizes for guessing which 'newspaper' is pushing the story and apparently only posting comments from Essendon* and St Kilda supporters.

So let me get this straight.

Judd tackled a Saints player in one legal motion with the players head not hitting the turf, with that same player getting up with no sign of concussion whatsoever. No free kick, no one stopped, no commentator mentioning a thing about it.

Really? Really?

How pathetic.

Blues fans:

The week will be full of pig headed and sour 'journalists' conjuring up whatever insipid story they can think of to belittle and disrespect Carlton. Why? Because they hate us. They are scared of us.

I wouldn't have it any other way.

One line in the piece sums up what a pointless article it is and what a blatant witch-hunt the whole scenario is playing out to be:

Quote:
Judd's tackle wasn't the banned two-motions variety and Gilbert's head didn't hit the turf.

Anyone see anything?

Someone numbnut tweeted during the game to Robinson, Ralph and someone else like a squealing little swine. Said it would be the story of the finals or something.

The big paper is getting just as bad as the little paper....

http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/behaviour-less-rash-before-finals-dash-20110904-1jshs.html

Their predictions:

Milne - Not cited "insufficient impact" - are they saying AJ was acting FFS
Polo - Not cited "insufficient impact, While it initially appeared Polo had struck Murphy in the groin, which would have attracted significant MRP attention despite the lack of force, subsequent replays indicated the contact was to Murphy's kidney" - so a kidney punch is apparently okay

$900 fine for standing on Milne's hand?

Probably worth it.

To be fair, there's at least two reasonable nuffies out there...

Please, I'm a saints supporter and there was nothing wrong with the tackle what so ever! He won't get cited because it wasn't an illegal tackle nor did Sammy get hurt!

As a Bombers supporter I am salvating at Judd being rubbed out, but I just watched the tackle on utube, and I doubt anything will come of it, and in fact I would be disgusted in the AFL if he was rubbed out. If that tackle is deemed illegal then we might as well give up on calling AFL a contact sport and start calling it netball!!! As much as I would love to see Juddy sighted, and it was a disgrace he wasnt rubbed out last year after he smashed Pav, there is zero chance he will be rubbed out for this!

I think everyone at the club will gladly donate to that fund
