For those hanging their hat on the last time we played them and our 74 point win, they would do well to watch the 1st half again.

We were clearly beaten in the air. The fact that we are a bit short on talls will not help that situation.

I am very worried about this game and if our midfield does not turn out a good performance we will be in trouble.

Agreed.
Also Essendon* were without Watson, Fletcher & Hocking (and Hooker) and the injury to Pears just before half time hurt them badly.

It will be much harder this time.

And Carlton were without Jamison, Carrazzo and Russell.

We were brave to beat them without three of our best 22.

These talls in Pears and Hooker were smashed by Butcher a week ago.

Al the fuss over our injuries has deflected atttention from their injury concerns.

Hurley has got hotspots in his foot. Basically stress fractures or bone bruising.
Fletcher is coming off a hammy.
Hooker is out of form and I doubt will even play if Fletcher does.
Pears has had knee troubles since coming back into the side

I am sure there are more and we have our fair share of players who are struggling too.

All teams have players nqr at this time of year.

I don't really know the ins and outs of the rules, but I thought eligibility wasn't a problem so long as your seniors team were playing on the same weekend?

If Jimmae's explanation is true, that means we can't play Waite in the VFL this weekend if he somehow comes up?

Don't forget Waite as well. And Hampson if you want to stretch it out a bit...

I think we'll win by 8 goals, about 4 goal lead at 3/4 time

The club would be well served to make a quiet enquiry of the AFL umpiring department as to what exactly is legal when it comes to opposition teams manning Judd.

If they're allowed to hold him before he even takes possession (which appears to have been the case for the latter part of the year) then the next question needs to be whether this gives him immunity from holding the ball decisions as there can be no prior opportunity when you're already being held.

What a joke, it's either a feeder competition or it's not, shouldn't be something in-between.

Everyone knows Carlton don't they??
No way can we stand up to finals pressure.
Still the same aren't we? Nothings really changed this year?

No way can we ever beat St.Kilda at Etihad.
No way can we ever beat Sydney at the SCG, especially not in the wet.
No way can we ever stop being Nth's bitches.
No way will we fight back if we're behind in the last quarter, (Tigers, Crows).

I think Essendon* are in for a very nasty surprise.

Can't wait.

In further positive news for Carlton, Michael Jamison (knee), Bret Thornton (soreness) and Andrew Carrazzo, who was shaken up after a car accident on Friday, will all resume training this week and are expected to be available for the Elimination final against Essendon* at the MCG on Sunday.

Jarrad Waite completed training over the weekend and will train this week with a decision on his availability to be made on Thursday. Shaun Hampson and Matthew Watson, who were both missing on the weekend with leg injuries, will train this week and are expected to return.

OK. For arguments sake let's assume Kreuze, Jamo and Carrots are all in.

Who's out then?

Kreuzer was already in.

Davies out for Jamison.
Armfield or Lucas out for Carrazzo.

I was wrong apparently. :P

Once we're out of the finals, then it comes into calculation. But 7 is the magic number.

I'd love for Lucas to stay in. With all the planning the Bummers will have to do on Judd, Murph, Simmo etc etc, Lucas could have a real birthday.
