Outside of Jason Johnson slipping something in the food this week, I'd say we'll be OK in that regard..

That was because they didn't have the players on the LTI list, and players can't be put on the LTI list after round 18, not because rookies can't be elevated after Round 18 if the spots are available.

Agreed.

However, I'm of the view that when you do put someone on the LTI injury list, you have to nominate their replacement, as you would a nominated rookie in lieu of a veterans spot, we can't chop and change as we please?

Curnow's a nominated rookie. Tuohy is up for Mitchell I believe. Twomey would be up also for Collins. Did we put McInnes on the LTI before round 18?

According to the Blues' wikipedia page:

Victoria (Australia) Luke Mitchell[38]
Republic of Ireland Zach Tuohy Prior to Round 11, Mitchell was again moved to the long term injury list (shoulder), and Tuohy was again elevated from the rookie list in his place.

Victoria (Australia) Levi Casboult Prior to Round 13, Casboult returned to the rookie list from the long-term injury list.
Victoria (Australia) Andrew Collins[39]

South Australia Rhys O'Keeffe Prior to Round 14, Collins was moved to the long term injury list (shoulder), and O'Keeffe was elevated from the rookie list in his place.

Victoria (Australia) Andrew McInnes[40]
Victoria (Australia) Wayde Twomey Prior to Round 17, McInnes was moved to the long term injury list (shoulder), and Twomey was elevated from the rookie list in his place.

Can we beat bombers if we loose Judd?

http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/c ... 6129300642

Is he likely to get off? From press it doesn't seem that he has a problem.

Hmmm I'm guessing that mrp copped a lot of flack for letting him off last year after pavlich head butting his elbow. Could this be a way to make sure someone else wins the brownlow? Paranoia perhaps.

Fingers crossed.

Mr. Caz,

There is no way a guy with your insight into the game would go into next Sunday with that Team. Either you been smokin' something or setting a good smoke screen.

Setanta to pinch hit in the ruck if Hammer can't play.

I like this team except for CHB - I'd put Setanta there. I have a real problem with him playing forward even though he kicked a handful the other night. He totally flowers up our structure with Eddie and Jeffy because he flies for the mark then gets involved in the crumbing as well. He needs to be told to bring the ball to ground then get the @#$%&! out of the way - let the little fellas do their jobs.

I'm hoping either Kreuz or Hammer will be fit to help out Warnock - he can't do it alone against Hill.

If Kreuzer showed signs of injury before a game that had no bearing on our season, and our KPP stocks are running low, how on earth was he allowed to start the game. They will say that the injury wasn't worsened by him playing, if so why was he substituted? Seriously our management of injured players on game day is amateurish.

Don't ask me why but I would play Levi on the basis of seeing him yesterday.

He is our X Factor!

Introvert, extravort - doesn't matter.

Do it!

The only reason this was even bought up in the first place was some Bomber flogs on Twitter carrying on about it.

If Judd receives ANY sort of penalty the club should seriously complain about outside influence.

You'd think trashing Carlton in the 2000 Preliminary Final would have counted as some sort of redemption for poor James?? Obviously not

Setanta to pinch hit in the ruck if Hammer can't play.

If Jamo goes forward to change things up then Hendo goes to FB. Hendo is playing some good footy and looks fit. Will lead up and leave space behind if not used. I'm told Bower was good in the VFL and I still think he good enough to play AFL after a tough year.

If very wet then AJ in for Thornton. Tuohy to miss for the more AFL hardened Armfield. Next year will be different I suspect.

Betts, Garlett and Walks MUST fire both offensively and defensively.

Regards Cazzesman

Interesting Side there Caz - bring in a bloke that has played 1 maybe 2 games all year to man up on one of the most promising CHF in the game

We beat them last time because we run them off their feet and loaded up with Mids - Betts kicked 8 we had a small structure up forward and it worked beautifully - Hendo handled Hurley but they were missing Watson and Hocking - Ellard who has been down on form appeared to regain touch yesterday - I would get him back in along with Jamo - and Setanta is terrible in the ruck dont want him near it - play him permanent forward and bring Hammer in if right - Thornton has to many scars from past beltings by the bombers they seem to get inside his head

Meanwhile "Judd could face suspension"

Quote:
RED-HOT Brownlow Medal favourite Chris Judd and Carlton face a nervous wait today.
The AFL match review panel is expected to scrutinise a tackle by the Blues skipper on St Kilda's Sam Gilbert at the MCG on Saturday night.

While Judd's sling tackle seemed legitimate, the champion midfielder and the club won't rest until the panel's findings are released late this afternoon.

No action was taken after the strong tackle in the second quarter, Gilbert immediately got to his feet and played out the game, and no player remonstrated with Judd.

But the incident was replayed on Channel 7 yesterday after it had been the talk of social media networks. Judd's tackle wasn't the banned two-motions variety and Gilbert's head didn't hit the turf.

Richmond forward Jake King was suspended for two matches last week after the AFL was alerted by Adelaide to a tackle that left Crow Andy Otten with delayed concussion.

The AFL crackdown on dangerous tackles was enforced from the start of last season.

A player can be charged with rough conduct if the tackle consists of more than one action or it's regarded as dangerous, such as a spear tackle, or an opponent is slung or driven into the ground with excessive force.

Nah, no media bias here to speak of. They should just write a couple of articles titled "Suspend Judd....PLEASE" and "Hopefully Kreuzer is out" and get it out of their system.

This will be one of the more painful weeks in football media we've ever had to experience. Prepare thyselves.

Yeah Bartlett started up on us this morning. Pretty much said we were done and that the board should retain Ratts although he thinks he is gone.

Said something about a car accident, anyone know anything about this?

Carrots apparently got whiplash from a car acccident, thus he didn't play. Don't know the specifics though.

BTW, according to BF Kreuz has a clot. flower!

Jamo and Carrots both got whiplash which is why they pulled out.
I'm sure they will get up for next week.

Soak it all up guys, revenge is best served cold.

We will destroy the filth. I can't understand all the who ha about us, yet the maggotts got smashed, but they were just cruising, the dawks almost got rolled by an U18 side, but they just warming up for Sep, yet us who had nothing to play for. smashed the saints in a half & then DELIBERATLEY played bruise free footy, all of a sudden have no hope against the scum who beat Port Adelaide by a kick @ the Dome in their last outing.

Please gimme a break.....I'm tipping a 10 goal win.
