Setanta to pinch hit in the ruck if Hammer can't play.

If Jamo goes forward to change things up then Hendo goes to FB. Hendo is playing some good footy and looks fit. Will lead up and leave space behind if not used. I'm told Bower was good in the VFL and I still think he good enough to play AFL after a tough year.

If very wet then AJ in for Thornton. Tuohy to miss for the more AFL hardened Armfield. Next year will be different I suspect.

Betts, Garlett and Walks MUST fire both offensively and defensively.

Regards Cazzesman

Cazzesman, any idea on whether Jamison was sore/injured or just rested as a precaution?

Injuries at the wrong time of the year....
The media pumping up the Scums tyres....
The favourite always seems to be on the wrong side of a loss in these types of games between us two.

Gee I don't agree with you on Tuohy Caz. I thought he was really good and against an inexperienced light side like the Dons I think he will stand up. Also surprised you've left AJ out. I think he lacks skill but he has worked his way into the side quite well, and has been good the last few weeks and is a bit nasty. I like JR as a player but thought he looked well out of form. I think Army has become a good tagger, and should do that or be a sub where his pace can really count. I'd only bring in one of Bower and TBird. Perhaps play Hendo on Rider and occasionally have him follow him into the ruck and try to use him offensively just to make things different. Use Setanta as fullforward and very occasionally in the ruck. Put the acid on Warnock. Chance to be a real #1 ruckman and beat the odds. To be honest I have no idea who most of the Bombers no names are, but if Alwyn Davey is getting a game they can't be up to much

The MC do like White on Hurley. Good record over the last two years including VFL. His name has been mentioned buy Ratts and was one of the few rested today from Ants.

Maybe he is a chance for a suprise call up.

for me i reckon

Thornton and Jamo come in for Davies and Kruezer.

Cannot believe we are talking about a couple of injuries....the scum have many out....will probably play at least two with injury clouds over them and above all are a crap footy side....very predictable side....no excuses whatsoever should win comfortably....

Geez Cazz ... I thought Tuohy looked the goods against the Saints.
I'd keep Armfield though but I'd play him as a small forward.
I've seen him play this role well in the past and Garlett has been struggling for quite awhile now.

Gerry and Kev all very fair points. If you bring in Zach who do you leave out? JR? I could live with that. And if you leave out T-Bird and Setanta has to 2nd ruck who is the key forward when Setanta is in the ruck?

I just want Jamo and Bower as our 2 keys down back with Laids and Duigan not playing on the big talls. They are better spare and/or on the 3rd tall defender as a rebounding. If Setanta is 2nd ruck and Warnock is on the bench we need a big body such as Hendo up forward to create the contest.

Regards Cazzesman

Here's a quote of yours from during the game.....

Don't blame the media flogs. We have flogs on here too.

With all due respect, Don's probably not Robinson Crusoe in that respect. Read the in-game threads from a lot of matches and many have done the same. All in the emotion of the moment I guess.

Blues over 60.

One thing to front up after the bye, it's another to front up after the bye and playing Port Adelaide the week before that. Too many players not up to the tempo of finals footy, and a lack of midfield rotations will do them in.

We will deadset flog these pricks.

Nothing makes me more nervous about Essendon* games than posters on here saying Blues over 60

Having said that, good point re the bye

Are you sure? You can't put a player on the LTI list, but pretty sure you can elevate rookies if the spots are available.
(Not that I think he will be played in the seniors)

Fremantle had to ask permission to elevate rookies after round 18, as they only had 22 fit players to choose from.

Outside of Jason Johnson slipping something in the food this week, I'd say we'll be OK in that regard..

That was because they didn't have the players on the LTI list, and players can't be put on the LTI list after round 18, not because rookies can't be elevated after Round 18 if the spots are available.

What would be the point of a rule preventing rookies being elevated after round 18?
Oh, it's the AFL, stupid rules are a given...
