Long time reader and first time poster! Really enjoy reading this forum and all matters which are Carlton.

I am not sure if this has been posted elsewhere however at the President's dinner at tonight's match vs St Kilda Stick's announced the club had come to terms with Henderson and Joseph, from memory 2 years each. Stick's also alluded that Ratt's will get a further contract in the not too distant future, going on to say he (Ratten) gets no acknowledgment for each win, yet is solely responsible for each loss!

I hope we do not turn out a similar effort next week or this season will not bear the fruit it deserves.

Good on both of them. AJ has embraced his opportunity after looking to be on some shaky ground, and have been impressed with Hendo's commitment to the club since he first put his hand up to come down.

The delisting/trading period just got a little murkier again.

AJ has battled well to get back in, but is not in our best side, and in a choice between Armfield and him I'd take Armfield. He battles well but lacks skill and fumbles at bad times really cost. He deserves a year but he is a back up player only and by 2013 there will be half a dozen ahead of him. Hate to be a conspiracist but will JR be there for two more years? Makes you wonder who they are delisting, maybe we won't be drafting many. Presumably Tuohy will be elevated. Bower (regretably) and Austin look gone, McLean should be gone but has a contract. Houla will retire. TBird and Setanta I think should be retained for insurance but there are not many spots left. Maybe they are expecting some losses to GWS that we don't know about.

Hendo's a great signing, AJ one year at a time for him IMO

Yeah, the Joseph two year signing depresses me a little and puts extra little doubts in my fragile psych.

I didn't think Henderson was going anywhere.

Cangrats to both of them. On a side note ... not happy with the way Henderson keeps getting caught. Reminds me of a rabbit in the headlights. He needs to work on this ...

Great news re Hendo, two years for AJ is ridiculous though. I mean it's not like he's going to be high on the list of other clubs to try and poach. Why give him two?

Why is it ridiculous? The club thinks he's a player, so they've backed him.
Not much point giving him 1 year.

Those of you not sure on Joseph must not have seen his last month live?
He has cemented a small defensive role , mainly because he has fixed his deficincies of fumbly decision making and disposal.[/Spoiler]
He has always been fast and strong but has not shown the confidence to take the game on. He has recently and with good skills and composure.
2/3 of Milnes goals were great individualefforts that were hard for anyone to stop. Other wise Milne had 9 possessions and Joseph had the better of him.

Sorry the whole post did not go the first time!

I might be unpopular here but do we have the Gillard government running the club?

What happened to win a final?

Maybe Ratten is the man anyway and I certainly don't mind him but if Carlton lose next week and there's already a deal without a review...

I should add that Henderson has taken his game up a notch and he could definitely be AA one day.

I have enjoyed AJs form since his horrible game against I think it was Collingwood or the Western Bulldogs. He has improved since the first half of the year.

Both should hopefully play a role in a winning final next week.

Joseph deserves a two year contract for stepping on Milne's filthy hand.
