So, changes for next week?

No unfit players, that's all I ask.

IF we have improved as a club we will win next week and it won't matter who is or isn't playing, who the umpires are, who the sub is, whether the weather is sunny or wet or windy.

If we have not improved we won't win and serious questions will need to be asked of all concerned.

Reading through some posts they are quietly confident of beating us in this game.

Also they refer to this site as Tanking Carlton

Injury concerns over Jamison, Kreuzer, Hampson, Waite & Thornton means we will be taking unfit players into this game.

Judd is clearly hampered by his foot injury

Ohalipin is carrying some sort of leg injury.

Hotcox, you must have missed all the fun back then, but that would be because majority of posters on TC have been advocating "tanking" since the dark days began.

 It did get us Keruzer and Judd!

Early forecast is for rain in Melbourne next Sunday. Considering Ratten doesn't like to play talls and Essendon* like to load up on talls this could be to our advantage if the conditions are wet.

At last night's match, there were two dumb as dog-shit fat pigs sitting behind me. Both Essendon* supporters, madly barracking for the Saints and getting stuck into the Blues at any opportunity. Calling for our players to be badly injured and so on. It went on all night. The plan was to keep quiet, then when we'd won to get stuck into them back, but the result didn't fall our way. I couldn't hold my tongue, so at the end, I had a go at them anyway. These two blokes were all class. Cannot wait to run into them on Sunday afternoon when we're on our way to a win.

Game Day just crossed to Visy Park. No real news - Kreuze spent several hours at the Epworth having tests and seeing a specialist later today.

if your "scoops" are anything to go by then it will be 25 degrees, sunny and not a hint of wind next Sunday.

The long range says 11c for Friday and 13c for Saturday and showers. Still a week off, obviously.

I reckon Kreuzer will miss which will allow Hampson to come back into side or Thornton depending on the weather.

If Waite gets through this weeks training they will play him.

Simon White could come in if Jamison doesnt come up to play on Hurley.

Russell or Touhy will be a line ball selection. Either will be unlucky to miss

Lucas will stay in the side ahead of a unlucky Ellard who has been pretty good this year.

After all the talk about us needing a in and under player to help Judd, Curnow and Mclean will not be in the side for our most important game of the year.

Hotcox's team:

Laidler Jamison Duigan
Yarran Henderson Scotland
Gibbs Murphy Simpson
Walker Ohalipin Garlett
Betts Waite Thornton
Warnock Judd Robinson
Lucas Carrazzo Armfield
Russell (Sub)

Dear Rats and MC,

Watch the last 2 games on how the hawks and saints setup on Judd in the centre and around the ground.
Judd is having to deal with a bloke on his side and hanging off his arm and then another bloke stands in front of him. The problem is nothing is being done about. Judd can't get a free run at the ball and it appears now if he crashes a pack he is tackled before he gets there and the ball just bounces off him and now the umps are paying more and more throwing or holding the ball. Juddy doesn't look like a happy camper at the moment. He is on the verge of being reported due to being frustrated.

Either Thornton or Hammer (whoever trains better this week) for Kreuzer

Carrotts for JR

& Jamo for Davies

First words out of Barrett's mouth on Sunday Footy Show

"Huge amount of pressure on Carlton this week ahead of the elimination final against Essendon*"

Hope Hammer gets through today - dont think Kruez or Waite will get up

Dont want them to bring in Thorton to play forward and Setanta as ruck becuase he sucks at ruck

Bring in Hammer have him changing with Warnock - Play Setanta as a permanent forward

He wont do it - He will bring back Thornton - Setanta will play ruck with Warnock

It is such a pity that Betts and Garlett can't run through the midfield as it would be a good chop out for Murph and Judd to shift them forward and run these two through the middle = It may get them into the game - They appear to get shutdown to easily and a run up the ground might get them back into it and upset the mix
I think that is our missing link at the moment - you can see in recent weeks when Walker has been closed down he has got himself back into the game by runnung in the middle

There is an old saying at Carlton that must be confirmed:

"At Carlton, we do not tolerate mediocrity"

He does suck in the ruck and he also doesn't get the same time in there that Kreuzer/Hampson would get, meaning Warnock shoulders most of the load and ends up exhausted.

If Kreuzer is out, we have to bring in Hammer.
Need Setanta permanently in the forwardline, no centre ruck duties.
