I'm extremely surprised and more than a bit disappointed JR has been overlooked...

No disrespect to Tuohy & Lucas, but I really didn't see them as part of our September plans this year. JR is simply a better player than them at this stage of their careers. Food for the conspiratorists....? :?

And I thought one of Brock or Curnow might come in with Ellard omitted, but I'm pleased with the Setanta selection. I think it's worth rolling the dice with him this week...

But if JR hasn't been playing well in the Bullants, then why does he deserve a spot in the Seniors? Fair enough you say that JR is the better player and yes he did come runner up to Judd in the Blues Best & Fairest last season but we need to put blokes in that are in form.

JR was close to the Bullants' best player last week.

Betts has taping too.

He has had that taping for years. Its for the patella tendon. Takes a bit of the load of it.
Had to wear it myself for a few years in my soccer days. Does the trick.

I know, I was just having a joke because of the 2 + 2 = 5 reaction to O'hAilpin's tape

I've got a feeling the boys won't be coming into this game switched on. Nothing to play for but pride is nothing compared to playing for a Top 8 or 4 position. I'm going to the game but I fear I'll be leaving in utter disappointment.

Reliable poster on BF suggests Jamo and Carrots out for Russell and Davies.

According to Molly1 on BF (who I believe is a reputable poster), Jamo is sore and won't play along with Carrots. Russell and Davies in.

No Waite and now must be huge doubts over Jamo. Hopefully he gets up for the final...

Don't care if Jamo doesn't play tonight if it means he is a cert for next week.

Looks like tapping on the calf and quad.

Yes, but it's the area usually taped for a ligament, then they tape across one to the other a certain way to help anchor the ligament in question. Except, I don't see much in the way of strapping on either side.

At worst it's an LCL problem (which isn't much of a niggle, but is unusual), at best it's a problem with the patellar tendon (though it's not usually taped that way). That's if it's a problem at all.

With Jamo out why wouldn't Bower be playing instead of Davies. We know what Davies has to offer and he has been going ok over the last few weeks. Bower on the other hand is a unknown quantity and surely you would play him in a game like tonight to see whether he is up to it.

You would think it must be some sort of injury with the way it is taped but i guess we will see how he moves tonight.

The emergencies are Davies, Russell & Ellard. Bringing in anyone else gets us a fine in the region of $10,000, I believe.

I understand that but i reckon Jamison was not going to play all week. With two talls in Kosi and Riewoldt you would have thought Bower would have been named as a emergency and would have played on Kosi tonight.

Why would Molly1 be more reliable than the Figer??

Obviously something we don't know about because I couldn't agree more.

Carrazzo is out because he had a car crash last night. He's not too bad though, would've played if it was a final.

Jamo is still sore from last week. Davies to be the sub.
