It's in the right direction......need to build on now through digital media and greater sense of community amongst supporters.

I loved it.

Murphy delivered his line really well, Betts not too bad.

I loved the lady fan and the guy with the face paint.

I would have had Wayne Johnston - Finals Specialist.

I AM CARLTON

Can we have this changed for our avatar status for a couple of weeks?

Having trouble printing the poster (with sons name on it), won't fit on the page, any tips?

Bang on donstu, its just all too familiar for a sporting club mship drive for me. tvc execution is as well done as it could be (largely thanks to the director I would say) but as far as the concept goes, I dont think it would have taken too much trouble on the creatives part to come up with this doozie.
"I AM (insert favourite club here)" is TIRED, and generic, and ogilvy shouldnt be uber-stoked with the result, nor am I.

I am assuming you saved the pdf file and aren't trying to print directly from yout internet browser. If not, open it up in Adobe Reader, press print and tick the option 'fit to page'.

I think the Warnokcs are wrong......as long as it is part of a greater package....

sorry but the ra ra WWF type slogans are crap.......people aren't won over by a cheesey slogan, people are won over by feeling a part of it. This is where the online and social media side has to be done well.

Worked alright for this bloke:

From the things I've heard about OlgivyOne, it sounds as though they're more geared towards the direct marketing side of things. So I'm hoping that this (IMO very bland) slogan is actually indicative of what the club will be DOING, rather than the "we have a catchy slogan, buy a membership" strategies of previous years.

So I'm hopeful that this is just the first step of the campaign, and the club's actions will speak louder than anything as it rolls out. In short, is the club going to take steps to make people feel like they "are Carlton", or just tell them that they are? Because on their own, the words are hollow.

Cos can you smell what we're cooking is deep?? .

Any one-line slogan is inherently going to appear shallow...at least this one begins to allow people to feel involved.

Exactly my point Gilly. That was a classic example of the same "we have a catchy slogan, buy a membership" thinking. It was there to catch people's attention, but ultimately that's all it was. Without substance and action by the club to back it up, "I am Carlton" is just as meaningless.

So I'm hoping that this new strategy is actually a full-on plan to connect with supporters, that the club does in fact live up to what they're spruiking, and not just delivering another slogan.

This. Is. Sparta!

Sorry... got a bit mixed up.

The initial hit is a bit underwhelming. It's a bit boring, bland and meh. It lacks any of the impact They Know We're Coming had or the promise and premise of No Passengers.

I know I'm a Carlton fan. I know I love the club. Is this just reminding me, or pretentiously telling others? I'm not a Carlton fan so other people know about it, is what I'm trying to say.

There is a core supporter base who are not members. It is probably saying to these supporters initially, the passion of what Carlton is - I am Carlton, I am Winning etc. I love the I am Winning - it reminds me of what we once were about - winning!

The next phase would be to get them on board for 2012 and then take that engagement level to the next stage.

It's how well they maintain that engagement level and have those members renew every year, that will determine the success of the campaign.

Yep!!!!

The WWE slogans worked a treat !!!!!

It's not the slogan that counts....it's what it potentially sets us up for (if implemented well).

And I don't need a focus group to tell you that!!

I can't get any of the supporter pack things to work in or out of internet browser windows. All I get is .ASPX files that wont open except in notepad as lines of code. FAIL.

Any help appreciated.

Love the concept and advert though!
