Pretty sure that Fevola has had 2nd, 3rd, 4th and maybe even 5th chances at Carlton.

Goodaye Cazz. Good to see you you havent changed. Ratten has stated on the Sunday Footyshow that he wont have Fev. i think thats a pretty dumb statement.

WTF!!!!! Ratts was fully supported in the decision by Swanny and Sticks. Do you think those 3 would do a backflip??? Do you have no clue about what goes on in the real world.

Secondly lets wait till our season is over before we make judgements about Fev's whereabouts in 2012.
To totally dismiss it now is blind stupidity.

Wait till the season is over and wait.

We need a power forward. For sure.Waite isnt that . He is a leadup forward.
Franklin
Pods
Cloke
Kennedy

We dont have one
Walker, Betts, Gartlett, Waite wont win us a flag.

So to totally dismiss Fev coming back is very dumb behaviour.

..i think what yer saying has merit, but not for the Blues [nor lions].. .... ..you can't bring back an individual into a team sport that has rightfully gotten himself onto the wrong side of the leadership group of said team.. ..said individual has also undermined the club as a player through years of selfishness..

..add in that Fev while a power fwd, is very much a lead-up type fwd.. ..one that is well known for hogging up the F50 to be really effective, one we've had for many years and other clubs effectively worked out how to shut down and curtail our scoring potency and predictability..

..also you're taking for granted that the idea of Fev has been arbitrarily dismissed without thought.. ..i doubt that.. ..however, i believe said thought processes while taking place would have been [rightfully] very brief.. ..Fev won't be the missing flag piece for us, because any FF ability would be more than offset by the disruption he'd bring to the playing group, morale, coaching culture etc etc..

Jeanne Pratt loves Fev so I would imagine she is pushing for us to recruit him as Hotcox says. Its not that great a stretch.
To say she only became vice pres after arranging a deal with the board to look at Fev doesnt really make sense and couldn't be remotely true.

If this deal really happened a lot of people at Carlton would walk out the door.

Ratten said last week, quite catagorically, we aren't interested

But then Swann, throughout the year on multiple ocassions has not totally ruled out taking Fev

Just think. regardless of the image we get from bringing back the Fev.

We get Henderson for nothing. Fev on way reduced wages. A real crack at a flag for the next 2-3 years.

If he Flowers up, then he gets dropped completely. no harm done.

Honestly, its a win-win.

Does anyone seriously think that we would've sacked him in the first place if there was any chance of redemption for him at Carlton?

For those who say bring him back, what's changed?

Do you think he would be a better footballer now than he was when he left? At 31 after a year out of the AFL? Surely not. We'd be lucky if he was as good let alone better.

Did being sacked from Carlton dramatically change his approach? You think? You'd better have a chat to Vossy about that then.

Oh I see, being sacked from Brisbane, who were so desparate to get rid of him they paid him out a small fortune just to go, has miraculously given him the wake up call he needs.

Yeah right ... and I've got some shares in the new lane of the Westgate for sale if you're looking for a sure-fire investment.

IMO Ratten's done the right thing to publically knock this one of the head now.

Right after the rookie draft all our new recruits could meet Fev at CQ night club for an induction session

It'd be better going with Fev to CQ than it would be going to Spearmint Rhino with Didak and co :smoking:

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the upside is HUGE (key fwd = #17 next year)
the downside is MINUTE (he gets sacked and NO HARM DONE!!!!!!!)

besides I'd be more concerned with whether The Champ approves than what Ratten thinks

BRING BACK 25. end of story

and if not him then go buy a ready made key fwd and offer him equity at VISY.

Barry Hall seems to be doing ok at 33, at his 3rd club

I thought it was common knowledge Judd said no!

That being the case I would have thought you have your answer.

I think a lot of people are so desperate for 17 that we will sell ourselves for it. I think we need a power forward but not sure Fev is the one we need.( and I still love Fev).

Sponsors, administration and the coach all would have a lot to lose bringing Fev back if it went wrong. I still think alot more went on behind closed doors than most of us know about.

I'm probably in the no camp atm.

You can't say it's not tempting though....

Bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Regards Cazzesman

Haha Cazzesman, what i have stated above is 100% fact and will be proven over the course of time. If Fevola keeps his nose clean, loses some weight and kicks some goals. Jeanne Pratt will be pushing behind closed doors to try and have Fevola reinstated as a Carlton player.

I'm with you Coxy, while I dont agree it was a 'condition' of her joining, I do agree she has a very close bond with Fev, a legacy she carries for her late husband who was always Fevs biggest supporter, not to mention that they were great mates too.
