Essendon* people will already be talking about payback for 1999 ... If we lose this I will spew up.

The thought that we might get rid of Ratten for Malthouse makes me sick in the guts.

Seriously, we'll smash them by 10 goals, they'll compete for a 1/4 & a half & then we'll just go bang & put them out of their misery!

They beat port by a kick at the dome....please!

I can't wait!!!

I still love that one. Forgetting of course the fact that they got their 'paypack' a year later

Makes me sick. They may as well be on the payrole at the Essendon* Football Club, the Herald Sun.

I do have time for Robbo though, he will always give us credit where due.

I hope the coach and players are taking this possible game more seriously than most of the posters here.
Yes, we thrashed them last time without Jamo and Waite, plus others but they were seriously undermanned in the midfield and didn't have Fletcher down back.
It won't just be a walk in the park. They are playing pretty good footy and if we go in half cocked we will come out i=of it with egg on our faces and have to put up with their supporters all summer.

There is clearly two Jon Ralph’s writing for the Hun.

This one:

Instead they will know that like most Essendon-Carlton encounters, this one is a toss-of-the-coin job. Throw established form out of the window when they butt heads.

And this one:

They will need to be so much better to beat Carlton in a fortnight.

Otherwise they will suffer the same fate of the 2009 Essendon* version which limped into September and was dispatched accordingly.

Has to be on a Sunday. Three Melbourne games at the MCG. Qualifying Finals take precedence as the top teams get an extra day's rest and you can't have two games on at the MCG on the same day.

Blues v Bombers on Sunday.

Jon Ralph has tweeted twice already about Carlton being nervous about playing the Bombers.

I bet the people at the Hun are hanging, just haning, for us to fall over against the Scum in a fortnight...

Think the players have enough fire in the belly from the last two dissapointing finals exits to make sure that there'll be steely resolve about getting the job done against these pretenders....

Also can't see them playing WC on a Sunday.

As we saw with Port last night, these cocks play their best when the opposition gets on the back foot and allow them to get their headless chook gameplan running. All of a sudden they mark everything, get every free kick, and seem to have 4-5 guys around the ball at all times. Their flower crowd becomes a factor too, when suddenly they stop booing everything that doesn't result in a free to them and create a wall of cocky, shithead noise that is deafening and their team feeds on it like a beetle feeds on the faeces of cattle.

If we allow this, we're frankly [REDACTED]. It's still an area of our game that can sometimes creep in and has troubled us, bringing about our worst losses this year (Eagles, Dogs and Hawks). We need to be on the front foot from the opening bounce, cut them open and take their whiny Catholic-school-girl'esque mob out of the equation. We're the ones who they should worry about, not the opposite. They should be worrying about our midfield and how to stop them. We play the game on our terms. There will come a time that they get 3-4 goals in a row (at least a couple from free kicks), this is just something these flowersticks do. Best for it to happen when we're already 10 goals up.

My Scum mate over here told me that he can't wait to book his filghts to Perth for the Semi against WC.

Flower i HATE Essendon*!!! :hitcomputer:

I asked him how they are a 74 point better team since we last met. (He said we were lucky because they were no where near their best team)

I then said, they were lucky against Port. (He then stated, it was Hird's game plan to see how much of a deficit that they could over come, and how quickly)

WOW. Essenscum supporters are cocky.

I'll feel more comfortable if Waite is available.

No Crameri means that if we stop Hurley and Fletch, and break even in the midfield, the win is ours.

I love it how they're the masters of "IFs". "If we'd have kicked 13 more goals against you lot, then we'd have won".

"If we had Fletcher and co in the side last time, we'd have won".

"If you guys didn't have Judd, Murphy, Gibbs, Simpson, Walker, you'd be shit".

It's a really basic mentality they have.

If we win this final, I want every Carlton supporter to get stuck right into every Essendon* supporter at the ground.

Almost spat my coffeee out this morning in a cafe reading 'brave Essendon*'(trademark is right!!!  )
and we will apparently lose to them because they have Crameri out.
oh dear..if only an Essendon* supporter wasn't next to me..I would definitly let 'em have the coffeee spray.
That is funny. So..just guessing...does Johnny Ralph support the bombers?..if not..it is a worry.

Can someone...oh alright I will if i can find an sms number...text in to '360' and ask why it is now mandatory to put 'brave' before mentioning Bombers...and why other teams are no longer brave.
I would so love to see Robbo attempt to answer that on telly.
