believe it or not she actually does have a very close and mutual relationship with him, and does in fact take an interest in his life still, and they do still speak occasionally.
but for her to say that that was a condition of her becoming vice pres is such complete crap

interesting that you assumed it was aimed at those 'for' not 'against' as I didn't stipulate, glad you know your place though.

I know my place pal ... bet you don't however ....

oh oh, he called me pal

you did assume I was aiming my initial comment at those in favour, why is that?

Isn't it obvious ... we have all made a statement of where we stand - for or against - you on the other hand just like to be a smartalec, which by the way I don't have time for or the inclination right now. Adios.

Currently, at the draft coming up, our first pick is #22. So not much will come out of the draft. Without Waite in the team, our forward line is very susceptible. Waite doesn't play every game and our replacement to waite being out injured in the team is thornton, setanta up forward?. If henderson had come on quicker as a forward, l would be more inclined to say no to fevola. But, at this stage, we don't have a big window with judd in his prime to win a premiership and we dont have any gun forwards coming through in the ants. We won't get good draft picks till we tank again.

I will be surprised if hes not picked up now by a club, hes kicked 45 odd goals in 6 weeks. Seems to have himself on track, no drunken antics all year reported, working stuff out with his family and got a job with a radio station and kicking goals.

FFS - Clubs gave a drug addict at a club a 2nd chance, who was probably 10 times worse than Fevola getting pissed a couple times. Majority of Fevola's antics have been alcohol related. Sure some poor onfield attitudes, but if hes picked up its not hard to control a player if hes not paid much and has clauses in a contract and he has a point to prove now. Be remembered as AFL bogan/drunk or AFL legend or Carlton legend if we picked him up.

I think if Carlton are serious about winning a premiership they will entertain the idea with minimum wage, behavioral clauses and if hes not doing the team things, hes out on the street once and for all.

i kind of think this too.

after all whats the worse that could happen?
whereas on the flip side if it does work it would almost guarantee us a flag next year! (not to mention the 10,000 extra members he's bring)
ironically its a gamble, but the upside of what could come of it so outweighs any possible negative that its not even a close call.

fact is people grow up sometime. loose young men usually about 30, i feel his lout days are far gone, his attitude toward club culture has changed.
id go the very small risk and let him back, pay him only performance based, both on and off field and how he sticks to team rules

whats the worse that can happen u bunch of pussies?
he gets drunk and acts like a goose and he gets a headline in the HS for a day or two - jeez louise!

I highly doubt it.

If true, it's disgraceful. People in administrative positions such as Vice President should not have a say on the on-field matters. It's like asking Jeff Kennett at Hawthorn to give his two-cents worth when recruiting.

Tell you what, if Fevola does get a gig at Carlton, then I'll eat a bag of shit, film it and post it on youtube.

Since when do former Carlton champions have no place on the main forum? Don't like it? Don't click on it. Too easy.

Fev won't come back to Carlton. If he did and went back to his own ways, I would expect the person at the top who made the decision to walk. Walker, garlett etc are much better without him.

Interesting that the poll over at BF on whether you wanted Fev back or not was yes by a big margin !

I love the Romance of it though....................

Sorry - but I do.
Fev was great to watch. I'd love to see him come back to Carlton and take us to a premiership.

But, we have moved on.
Walker, Betts and Jeff are all in the top 10 of the goal kickers. Can't remember the last time Carlton had 3 inside the top 10.
