First Melbourne final since 2001 .... how can you not be excited!

Yeah I don't know...

I enjoyed traveling to watch the boys these past two years.

But the way flight prices are jacked up after the finals fixture release... my wallet is definitely excited this time around.

No Fletcher and Hocking against the Power but gee they look ordinary. Carlton will start red hot favorites and should win by 10+ goals.

Just play the game blues not the occassion.
Pick Setanta as a second Ruckman and play Kreuzer at CHF all day

I'm actually as relaxed as I've been for a long time in the leadup to this mob.

When the teams (and umpires) are announced that may change though.

Which umpires would you like to see officiating this final?

Is letting port adelaide lead them up until halfway through the 3rd quarter part of the mind games also???

I'm already confused.
Hirdy is the master

They are totally dependent on Hurley and Fletcher.

If we can't beat them at the G then we need to hire better sport psychologists.

You can argue about whether they've put the cue in the rack and all that, but the fact is Port are cutting them to ribbons and opening them up, and at Etihad of all places. Us at the G is a BIG ask for this mob, courage aside.

Agree they arent trying today,
but surely with a weeks break to recover, and no more opportunities to adjust to finals pace of footy, they'd want a good hitout with a modest win?
No matter how hard Hirdy bakes them I still can't see them coming out and annihilating us. Its our game to lose.

For once I feel like we are in the box seat.

Paddy Ryder looks like he'll pull up pretty sore as well.

The fact is they're playing the worst team in the comp in a leadup to finals campaign. If they are in fact "not trying" they're @#$%&! stupid.

EDIT: Right on cue, they start their headless chook gameplan and decide to try and win the game in 10 minutes.

I think they are already clearing all pages of the HUN this week to tell the story of their courageous come from behind win against the fearsome Port Adelaide.

I think their 'brave' comeback against the 'might' of Port Adelaide was the perfect result for us.. A loss would ve given the Scum something to prove against us, but the win has ensured that the media will continue with their Bummers w@nk fest for the next two weeks, thus luring them and their tossbag fans into a false sense of security....
