Is it any coincidence that when there was personal glory on the line, he chases his guts out, especially considering the game was long over? Do people seriously think he'd have done it if he'd gone nowhere near 100 goals for the year, OR, if he'd already kicked the ton earlier in the game? Hell no.

If anything demonstrates his "Fev first" attitude, this has to be it.

Fev always had more tackles per game than Brown and Reiwoldt. It was a myth that he didn't chase.

Good come back.

Fevola has always played as an individual. He's Mark Jackson, Warrick Capper. "You've got front row tickets to the Fev show" he once told an opponent.

That pretty much sums him up, and that's why he's playing in the VFL. He's every modern coach's nightmare. Because the days of the hero individualistic FF are

That kind of attitude doesn't win you premierships. not now.

Best you folks give Stevie J a call. That's his line.

As far as team footy goes..... In 2007 he had more tackles than Hall, brown and riewoldt. Virtually the same goal assists. Less tackles than cloke. In 2008 Easily more tackles than all of them. Similar goal assists. 2009 similar tackles and goal assists to riewoldt and cloke. Even last year, despite his injuries only cloke had more tackles.

Don't let the facts get in the wAy of a good story.

Weak draft, late pick, players must support it, stuff up n your out. Bottom line is we could certainly use him. Look premierships are so hard to win. If we had him now we'd be top four for sure. Needs to stay off the booze and accept he's not the only target and not get pissed when the balls not kicked to him

Fev will not be back playing at Carlton.
Just won't get drafted by us, period.

Even if a bunch of social club members turn up at princes park with banners and Fev jerseys.

Everytime swann has been asked about it he's never flat out said no way. Coz he knows with fev (granted it'd need to be a radically changed fev) we'd be close to winning a flag. Really thnk a lot of u forget how hard it is to win a flag and how hard it is to have a champion fwd. Roll the dice if it comes off we might have the glory. Don't worry about team morale, if he stuffs up he's out so doesn't affect the players. As I said it's a weak draft so maybe a late pick is worth the punt

Love the bloke but we are a better team without him. Fev is not the answer to our forward shortcomings.

What we need dare I say it is a Josh Kennedy type player, someone that can take a contested mark and compliment our current crop of leading and cruming forwards.

I hope he does get a gig somewhere though...

A Melbourne F. C. member told me if they drafted Fevola he'd cancel his membership.
That just about sums it up for me.

If club was very cOnfident on a hampson or kruez as a fwd then that's a reason to not get fev as you'd be keeping a player from developing in the ones

I would say to Fev if you want to return play tbe remainder if the year in defence
Prove that you are not just a show boat up forward show us that you can play a defensive team game and we might consider it . Prove to everyone it is team first Fev a distant 2nd

Yesterday was the Fevola show more than ever for the spectators and TV cameras.
The man in the centre of it loved it and played to the crowd.
Nothing has changed.
And did the distraction have anything to do with the Bullants' dismal on-field performance?

We always cop a hiding at Casey Fields and nothing's changed there either.

Chest marks bouncing off Hammer, he must have a hard chest as well as hard hands.
Yet if only he'd held the first couple of marks we might have seen a different Hamson yesterday.

You know I'll come out and say it. Recruit him as a mature rookie with strict behaviour clauses. Play him in the mid-field - on the wing even. He can't go on television, no interviews, no nothing that puts him in the spotlight. Let's face it, there's only one club he wants to play at and I think this could work if it is done right. If he was to be picked up, it would be different. We would be in the box seat, not him. We could dictate terms like never before that could keep him on the straight and narrow. It's worth consideration, in my view. Sure I have doubts about my theory but I think we've got nothing to lose by picking him - again - if it is done right.

dunno why the eyeroll... it is 100% true. The thing that was always annoying though, was the giving up on contests when he was still in them because he was too busy whinging that he hadn't got a free kick. Chasing not an issue. second and third efforts were the real up and down one. This is a discussion born out of our desparation for a key forward, because it is the glaring chink in our armour.

I love Fev but I am not sure he is the answer

Currently, at the draft coming up, our first pick is #22. So not much will come out of the draft. Without Waite in the team, our forward line is very susceptible. Waite doesn't play every game and our replacement to waite being out injured in the team is thornton, setanta up forward?. If henderson had come on quicker as a forward, l would be more inclined to say no to fevola. But, at this stage, we don't have a big window with judd in his prime to win a premiership and we dont have any gun forwards coming through in the ants. We won't get good draft picks till we tank again.

I will be surprised if hes not picked up now by a club, hes kicked 45 odd goals in 6 weeks. Seems to have himself on track, no drunken antics all year reported, working stuff out with his family and got a job with a radio station and kicking goals.

FFS - Clubs gave a drug addict at a club a 2nd chance, who was probably 10 times worse than Fevola getting pissed a couple times. Majority of Fevola's antics have been alcohol related. Sure some poor onfield attitudes, but if hes picked up its not hard to control a player if hes not paid much and has clauses in a contract and he has a point to prove now. Be remembered as AFL bogan/drunk or AFL legend or Carlton legend if we picked him up.

I think if Carlton are serious about winning a premiership they will entertain the idea with minimum wage, behavioral clauses and if hes not doing the team things, hes out on the street once and for all.
