Can't believe some of the comments about Armfield. He had a massive impact on our run and pressure when he came on for Ellard. There were plenty of players on both teams missing kicks as they were belting their way down the Etihad turf.

Yeah, but you'd prefer a turnip dressed in a tuxedo to David Ellard

I've got time for Ellard, but he is way down on form or fitness or confidence. So I'd take him ahead of the turnip. :P

Agree. We look better when he is playing.

You are probably right about Armfield, he is a bit of a whipping boy. I cant help but remember his turnover when we had alot of momentum though. Not sure there is room for both him and Carrazzo in terms of turnovers in the same side.

Carrazzo seemed to break his previous instructions this week by kicking more and handballing less. Maybe he got a bit confidence about his disposal after a cruisy game against Freo? Who knows.

I was at this game and it was particularly worrying to watch Eddie and Garlett during the pre-game warm up. They looked like the they didn't want to be there, were having half hearted shots at goal, and generally looking disinterested.
It was noticeable enough for a few Hawks fans to comment that they didn't look 'switched on'. And they came out and played like it.
Have to make sue everyone is switched on right from the outset vs the Saints.

Armfield takes the game on and gives us good dash through the middle. He is also now putting another string in his bow in goal kicking. He's a keeper I say.

We could’ve done with Paul Stringer running off half back
