Do any of you out there have unique nicknames that you use for certain Carlton players?

Several years ago my brother mentioned to me that Michael Jamison was called "Blanket" by Fevola as Jamo was all over Fevola in a practice game and hence the term "blanket". I find myself now yelling out "well done Blanket!" when he takes a great mark, spoil, etc.

The only other nickname I have is for Mitch Robinson - I just call him "Angry".

Feel free to reply and add any unique nicknames you may have for some of the guys - obviously omit the general ones (Juddy, Murph, etc.)

Regards, Shaun (sticks1977)

My 7yo regularly uses “bloody Joseph” after overhearing me when Aaron went through a rough trot of form last year.

I like to say Meep Meep like the road runner when Jeffy gets the footy.

Some bloke who runs around for us is often referred to as "3 votes", especially when he plays at Subi :lol:

My old man calls Jeffy "Alfy" after some character in some 1960s British TV show. I have no idea why.

So if you are at the footy and sit next to some middle aged bloke excitedly yelling out "ALFY! ALFY!" when Jeff takes off - I'm so sorry :lol:

Used to call Houlihan Kleenex in his early days, coz I thought he was soft. Have been happy to have revised that in the last few years.

Call Hendo 'boyfriend' as he signed my missus' jumper and now she loves him

Robbo = Crazy

Juddy = Brownlow

Thats all I can remember of the current crop, great idea for a post though :thumbsup:

I just call Robbo Taz. Sums up who he is and where he's from.

Walks
Russ
Murph
Gibbsy
Juddy
Simmo

I HAVE heard one or two others use these, but I reckon I invented them, and they're now my special (almost) unique names for 6 of our players. I'll give yez a go at working out who they refer to and then I'll post the players a bit later.

Oh, almost forgot

Bettsy
Kreuze
BigTonk

(The last one's not fair dinkum..... just put it in to get some of yez off the trail.. HA

Robinson - Nut (because he is)

Carazzo - confusion (because he looks confused when he has the ball)
