:garthp:

You clearly do not watch any football if you think Robinson has elite disposal.
Makes you look quite silly coming to a football forum

I don't remember dane saying he had elite disposal.

Well if Dane articulated his rebuttal to the opinion instead of offering a useless emoticon, the silliness might be limited.

Robbo was terrible in the first half but to his credit bounced back to playing team footy in the 2nd half.

I thought Robbo pulled his head in and had a reasonable second half, after putting in a shocking first half.

By pulling his head in, I mean taking the first option available rather than trying to be Judd.

How good were AJ and Armfield? I agree with you Jim, they were clearly trying a couple of different things with Duigan yesterday to move him around a bit and lighten the load. The bye can't come soon enough for him.

Freo - pack of knobs! Jealous of West Coast.

Harvey - Angry bitter troll
Ballantyne - Angry little ugly toad
Supporters - Whinging sooky muppets
Crowley - Spud. The scum left on the bottom of the saucepan after you boil up a spud.

Succccccccccccccccccck it!

Winning at Subi in a crunch game - Great!
Beating the purple haze while their supporters constantly complain about injuries & McPhee - Fantastic!

Ending Freo's season - PRICELESS!!!!

:thanks: :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:

Billy Brownless and Damien Barrett adament on Sunday Footy Show that Gibbs played on and his goal should have been disallowed. LOL.

What a MASSIVE story for Dam-o to break!
That's why they pay him the BIG bucks!
What a super-journo!

How will he be able to develop his disposal by following your no kicks rule?

Pre season is the time to work on and develop skills. For now Robinson is in the side for his hardness and one per centers. Kicking is not a strength of Mitch Robinson's game and like Daniel Cross at the Western Bulldogs, Robinson should be instructed to handball at every opportunity.

Goal scorers: Eddie Betts 6, Andrew Walker, Bryce Gibbs, Chris Judd, Chris Yarran, Jeremy Laidler, Dennis Armfield, Marcus Davies, Bret Thornton, Jeffrey Garlett, David Ellard

That's funny, looks like I can see GIBBS in our list of goal scorers.

Mind, I think I would be agreeing with Brownless and co if it was a Freo player.

He has dropped off a bit but he keeps on getting in good positions, chops off many attacks, doesn`t go to ground and is just a smart footballer. He and Laidler are a big reason of why we`ve improved.

As I said in the game thread, gained a lot of respect for Haydn Ballantyne yesterday.

This idea of him getting kicks in junk time is ridiculous. He tried to lift his side in the third term, tried his absolute guts out, just too many passengers. Pav's first quarter aside, no-one else came to play.

Stephen Hill on the other hand, what a petulant sook. Ryan Crowley can jump in a bath with the radio plugged in also...

Wouldn't go so far as to say Ballantyne tried to bring his team into the game. He simply sat forward of the ball while his opponent went right up into our forward press.

He did a fair bit of running but he had no opponent, and just idled into space before sprinting the other way, ball in hand. Our stupidity gave him a run-on, and he worked hard enough to use it.

Watch that last 10 minutes of the third quarter again, when he goes into the centre bounce setup. Has a hand in three goals, then hits the post himself a minute into the last.

Aside from Pav's first 5 minutes, only time they looked threatening all day.

Oh I thought you were referring to him bobbing up on the counter all the time. Yeah he was impressive at stoppages, but that just shows you how much he leaves in the tank most games. He's a natural front-runner, so I guess some plaudits should go to him for trying to change his spots.

If Buddy Franklin never runs off his line then noone does, couldn't give a flower if its his natural action. You could easily make an argument and say that Gibbs kick is the natural action for every right footed footballer who pulls on a boot this weekend.
