3 players that have been sent back on the field injured, Curnow, Waite and Jamison have all had delays in recovering.
But that obviously had nothing to do with their prolonged absences. The club medical staff assure us of that.

Hopefully they have learned a lesson.

It's really funny, apart from the obvious midfielder, Waite & Jamison are the 2 we highlighted we could not afford to lose for an extended period of time. Well now that they are due back, it looks like maybe, just maybe we have under estimated either our depth or our teams capabilities to cover key losess!

Go Baggers

There is a segment on AFL Teams each week were the panelists provide a scoop which is not necessarily public information. Tony Shaw mentioned last night that the reason Jamo is taking so long to recover is due to the surgeons performing a procedure on his knee which takes longer to recover. Shaw said rather than going in and cleaning/trimming the problem area they decided to stitch it up.

How would Tony Shaw know?

Jamo will be on 3AW in the lead up to the game.

The Ants have a good test next Saturday in their second last H & A game (The Borough @ the Borough)

From Ratts presser via CFC twitter:

"Jamo made more improvement than Waitey last week. Jarrad is a day-to-day proposition"

Could someone explain to me what day to day proposition really means? Earlier in the week he said a week to week proposition...

Someone remind me, what is wrong with Waite?

Waite has a hip problem and I'd say they're referring to swelling around the repaired area. It would be a day-to-day proposition, but the conservative view at the club sounds like it was always going to be round 22.

Should be in the 2's for a couple of weeks to give him some controlled match practice before the finals. Last thing we need is to bring him back too early because he's "needed" and risk losing him again. As important as this week is, September is more important.
