Good mark. We got slaughtered all over the ground that day. If the same happens tomorrow a giant in the goalsquare will kick a couple.

WC goal kickers when they played us.

That was actually Naitanui's only mark for the day. He only had eight possessions and kicked one goal. It was a great mark but not exactly an example of an opposition ruckman going forward and using his size to dominate us.

Nah, just wondering what we might do to counter it after last year's debacle with Tbird giving Simmo a spray in the goal square :D

Just back from the training session at the WACA - just a short hit-out but the boys looked sharp and pretty relaxed. Only one concern was that Kreuzer didn't participate - no running just a few handball drills & went in early. Not sure if he is injured or they are just being cautious with him.

On the plus side we were able to corner him for a photo and he signed the number 8 on my little girl's back, so it wasn't all bad

From a few other reports over the last couple of months Kreuzer hasn't participated fully in a few other training sessions, so hopefully he is just on a lighter load than most.

Also FWIW of the emergencies Rohan Kerr was training but I didn't see either Mclean or Lucas. Carazzo trained fine, so I think he'll play.

A LOT

When? Not trying to be smart but i cant remember that bothering us since 2008.

I still shudder when I remember David Teague left to man Sandilands in the goal square a few years back.

What was the result though? People need to seperate how something looks from the consequences.

I still remember Teague being singled out for playing on Greg Stafford one day and how this was an example of us needing taller defenders. When questioned on the impact Stafford had, he dominated and many times was ae to stand and mark one out in the goalsquare.

Stafford had 1 mark and 3 touches for tbe entire game.

Also remember Glen Manton playing on Spider Everitt and Matthew Richardson many times and having radio commentators repeat all their teams had to do was bomb it long, one out.

The Bolt had a great record on them, particularly Everitt, and was very effective running of him.

Was his worst game for the year. Apart from that mark and goal was hardly sighted all game.

Thanks for the info Ponkstar

Was Armfield training? Maybe the potential swap is Kerr for Amrfield...

Perfect day here in Perth at the moment. Hopefully stays this way for the match.

I am very excited to be going to my first interstate game since 95 when I saw the Swans beat us at the SCG. Hopefully a different result today.
My prediction, Blues by 34 points. No reasons, just a feeling.
Go Blues!

Just checked the radar and it looks like there are some storms heading SW about 150km off the coast of Bunbury. Nothing around Perth so i think it is safe to assume that we will get good weather for most of today's game.
