Assuming West Coast make 4th, I think we're an OK chance for a final at the G.

Franklin's reported from the game against Norf, can we hope for a two week suspension?

He should have 50% loading and some carry over points!

Fingers crossed

Finishing 5th is looking more and more likely.

Cleared.

Should this thread be merged with the other Top 4 thread?
It's basically the same shit.

The next few weeks are just filler.

Finals Week 1

Carlton V Essendon* MCG
St Kilda v Sydney Etihad
Geelong v Hawthorn MCG
Collingwood v West Coast MCG

Finals Week 2

West Coast v Carlton Subiaco
Hawthorn v St Kilda MCG

Hopefully Week 3

Collingwood v Hawthorn MCG
Geelong v Carlton MCG

I'll stop there for the moment.

You mean assuming St Kilda or Sydney finish 6th

Absolutely no way we'd play Essendon* at Etihad first week of the finals.

Even if we played Fremantle, they'd be hesitant given the possible low turn out/profit.

Carl/Ess always at the G. As it should be. What a farce it would be to schedule that game at Etihad. 30,000 members being locked out of the game.

But knowing the AFL, they'd fking do it...

Of course they won't.

If anything, they'd be hoping for St Kilda/Sydney to be at Etihad.

Good sized crowd for it, enough to turn a profit, probably not enough to sell it out either.

Stop worrying about where we finish. The equation should be the same. We have to win a final. If we win the coach should stay and if we don't we should find another one

Well the Bozo's at AFL House fixtured the Essendon* -v- West Coast Final at Docklands in 2002. It drew less around 30,000 people and the idiots at the AFL locked out AFL Members who wanted to swipe in and go up to Level 3 - so they are seriously capable of the most stupid things.

But according to the Spew - the AFL are full of loyal hard working dedicated people who dont deserve to be on the end of criticism from the likes of us.

AFL will view it as the lower drawing game. And they will also say it is our home ground.

I'll have a crack:

It's our home ground and we'd be playing an interstate team. Collingwood will get the G no matter who they play, and Geelong vs Hawthorn would certainly be at the G as well you'd think.

So with that match-up, it's a no brainer we'd be at Etihad.

I hope it would be mcg.

PIes v eagles MCG Friday night
Cats v Hawks MCG Saturday
Saints v Bombers Etihad Saturday night
Blues v Swans Sunday MCG

The bottom two games could be the other way around though.
