Who do we want to play?
The reason I mention this is that we could meet St Kilda, which is not ideal in my opinion, however if we lose to them that is unlikely to happen.
Hmmmmm

Doesn't really matter, as we as a club seem to raise and lower the mental hurdle of our match preparations to compensate for the opposition's form and talent.

Surely that wouldn't happen? Carlton v Saints could get 75k at the G so I doubt they'd play the game at Etihad. Then again, I'm not sure how many games the G can have in one weekend - it could do 3 couldn't it?

Anyway, I doubt the Saints will finish as low as 8th, and if they do, their form will be poor.

Carlton alone would get 60-70k at the G.

I just ran the Predictor, and have us playing Norf.

I'll cop that.

Playing the saints two weeks in a row would be weird

Essendon* and another team did that a few years back. Dons lost the first bout, smashed it home in the second.

That was Richmond's only foray into the finals since 1995 IIRC.

Sheedy tanked the last game to avoid playing us, too if memory serves. 2000 maybe?

2001 it would seem. They were top of the ladder, so they avoided nothing in the end.

By giving Richmond the win, they finished ahead of us. We played Adelaide instead.

All things considered, it's almost certain we're playing in Melbourne week one. Lowest we could finish is seventh, which would rely on some extraordinary results, and some even more extraordinary ones to play in Sydney or Perth week one. We'd only be playing at Etihad, should we finish sixth/seventh, and the other three games are all in Melbourne, which is also quite unlikely. I also doubt we'd play Essendon* at Etihad somehow.

Would rather play the Hawks. Hoping Eagles catch up to the Hawks' percentage and finish third.

Do any of these teams actually want to finish 8th? They all keep losing.

Who cares, we need to win no matter who we play or where. If we're good enough we will!

I'm really battling to see anyone but Essendon* finish 8th, unless Norf can knock off Hawthorn or St Kilda.
