If you want to know where we're at, watch the replay and turn it off at half time. The second half is pretty irrelevant.

that's just general society these days

Ugly second half but you will take 70+ point wins anyday of the week

Loved the 14 individual goal kickers - sharing it around

For the stats guru's going around do we hit the post more than any other side in the comp

We seem to be rattling the wood work 4 or 5 times a game

I'll touch on it now but will expand further during the week when Ive settled down a bit and can gather my thoughts and put them into words.

I've never left a 70 point winning game with such an awful taste in my mouth.

And its got nothing to do with our performance, with Melbourne's, or the umps.

It's all a result of who happened to be seated next to me, and the things I heard him say CONSTANTLY during the game.

The man I'm talking about is John Murphy, yes, Marc's father.

I sat next to him during the game, heard all his calls and mutterings, and as I said before, I left the game as upset as I have when we've been flogged.

This man is a CANCER to our club, and to Marc. And must be controlled.

In my post later this week I'll include the 5 or 6 different calls I heard him yell out during the game,

at one stage in the last qtr he actually said in disgust " I cant believe he's signed with this bloody club"

and that wasnt the worst of them!

JOHN MURPHY IS AN ENEMY WITHIN.

to be continued.......

Any wonder given his boy didn't follow in his multiple B&F footsteps at Brisbane?

John bought a lovely place in Clayfield for his boy expecting him to move to his home town. Bitter.

Murphy and Simpson had sloppy games. They weren't quiet but a lot of the things they tried did not come off the way they normally do.

A lot of experimenting by Ratts and co after half time and probably a bit in the first half.

Good 13 goal win.

If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them.

DESPITE a commanding 76-point win over Melbourne at the MCG, Carlton coach Brett Ratten is disappointed at his side's inconsistent performance.

...

"I think we got the margin at half-time, but full credit to Melbourne. I thought they came out and put themselves in a position to make it hard work for us. Their inability to kick the goals … I thought we were really lucky at the start," Rattern said.

"We were second for the ball and reactive … there were some general things we put together in our game-plan that we didn't tick off that we wanted to today."

"From that point of view, I thought we just weren't on our game."

At the G today and Judd is in as good a form as I've ever seen him. Looked really fresh and eager for the hunt.
Warnock outstanding in the ruck.
Scotland and Gibbs top class.
Ellard was very good today, teamed with Judd several times
Touhy backed up last week's effort with an excellent game, can't see him out of this side.
Some players slightly down on normal: Duigan, Robbo, Yazz
Solid efforts from depth players: Davies, AJ, Brock and Houla.
Blues poor in first and last quarters. Not a great team performance besides the second qtr but heh ... they got the 4 points.

For them: Watts showed why he was taken pick 1.
