Hopefully Lucas ends up in the final 22 - he would come in handy the following week at Subi as well.

There I was believing that he was hopelessly out of form and challenging Carrots as our turnover king. Can't believe everything you read I guess.

Not sure what Joesph has done to earn a automatic selection ocnce fit. Ratten must have a specific role for him.

Jamar out is huge for us. We will now smash them in the ruck.

Bit surprised Carrots is a no show considering the way Ratts was talking him up during the week.

Could be a big week for the ins next week? Carrots, Waite and Hampson must be close... Maybe JR as well?

Joseph strikes me as a bloke who gets brought in for a specific reason. If his reason has been dropped this week, maybe he makes way for Lucas (if Armfield gets up)

Carrazzo may be given an extra week with a view of tougher battles against Freo and Hawthorn ahead.

Waite will return either next week or against Hawthorn. Hampson I don't think will return through the seniors.

Guessing Jamo back for round 24, rough chance for r 22.

We shouldn't underestimate Jones, Moloney and Trengove (Scully would be underdone you'd think). They're actually pretty handy for clearance work, so our ruckmen need to take advantage of Jamar's absence, and then we should destroy them.

I see Petterd as their danger man on saturday. He's one of those guys that simply makes things happen. It was baffling that he was sent to the 2's for so long.

Thought Joseph was very good vs the Pies before getting injured

With Carrazzo out and Gibbs (destroyed Moloney last time) playing forward Joseph and rmfield will get the shut down roles on Moloney and Davey.

If you ask nicely I'm sure someone will give you a hug.

Given all the yelling he has done lately he needs a bit more than a hug.

Your view on the selection decision this week, and who was in line for consideration? I just thought we had an opportunity to blood a few and rest some others.

Presumably he'd have to have a jab.

It's not something I'm particularly keen on players having. Perhaps not so bad if it's an impact injury that isn't likely to get any worse, but running around on a sprained ankle sounds to me like a recipe for long term problems.

Of course all this assumes that the medical staff there don't know what they're doing. I wouldn't normally suggest that sort of thing, but after seeing players like Jamison (knee) and Curnow (shoulder) sent back out to play I'm having my doubts about them.
