...................the same amount of items in Carlton membership packs and an increase in membership prices in 2012, or only receive a Carlton membership card and a cheaper membership price?

Thought this was an interesting question on this years member survey and perhaps a sign of things to come, so what do you think ?

I want more in the membership pack.

Other than that question and all the ones on direct debt it looks like it might do some good!

I'll pay an extra $20 if they remove my name from the call list for the $200 raffle. 5 times they've called me in the last year after getting another one a couple of weeks ago.

i personally never wear caps (neither do any of the other 7 members of my family who are all CFC members)
so I would gladly do without that, and reduce the cost by $20

The mystery of why I didn't receive a member 2011 was just solved. After months of wondering why I didn't get one it was revealed because i didn't sign up before Christmas I wasn't eligible... Thats a bit poor, to be honest. Its the only thing in the pack I'm interested in, apart from the card of course.

I've been on the run for days, I feel like a fugitive. They keep trying to call, they got me this morning at 9:30.

It's a shame they wouldn't have a log of each excuse I've given since they've been calling. There would be some entertaining stuff on there.

They called me about the raffle this morning...

Started off all friendly trying to pull the Carlton heart strings about this great season.

Picked her as a raffle ticket seller immediately and told her a polite no thanks.

If I had to choose one item I'd choose the scarf over the cap anyday. I also disagree with using the scarf as an incentive for early signup - EVERYONE wants the scarf and not everyone signs up early and I've heard of many members upset their scarf didn't arrive, only to find out later it was because they didn't sign up early...not cool. Think of something else to push early signups, I like the idea of a major prize personally...won't worry me too much if I lose, won't probably worry me if I don't sign up mega early either but the scarf would then go to all members, not just earlybirds. Can you tell I like the idea of the scarf?

My pressing issues stem from being interstate. The Long Distance 5 didn't provide much value at all this year. With fixturing seeing the boys in Queensland once this year, it leaves 4 games going to waste for many members who don't have the cash to travel to Melbourne this year (a common complaint I've heard). If you were to add up the cost of the Adult 3 membership plus the cost of the Suns game in the Gabba, it would have probably been cheaper to do that for one game, and still get the members pack. My idea is to have a flat membership rate for interstate supporters which includes a minimum one game, say $50 with one game. Then, should you find yourself in Melbourne, be able to purchase walk up tickets if available through the club at a discounted rate.

The other thing I'm hearing that's an issue with interstate fans is how detached they all feel from being part of 'The Club.' There's lots of functions, training sessions etc on all the time and granted, Carlton is a Victorian team. However it might help keep interstate membership up, especially during seasons (like 2011) where Melbourne games are havily favoured to have a few groups of players do the rounds in the offseason. Maybe do a little tour and have an 'Interstate Members Sign Up/Re-Sign Day' during the off season in major cities (Perth, Adelaide, Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane etc) where current members can get some photos and signatures and re-sign on the day, as well as getting new supporters to join up on the day also. I don't know the figures for interstate members so I don't know how feasible it would be, but having a one-off 'after the game room access' ticket (or maybe a 1:5 chance of winning one?) at one of the interstate games for members? I don't know. The Club need to focus a lot more on treating their interstate members as an important part of the picture. We don't get half the opportunities to interact with the players in both formal and informal settings as Victorian supporters do. Again I know that's par for the course, but our money's worth just as much.

Just saying...

:thanks:

^^^ This! The only game played in QLD was on my best mates 21st/Deploying to the desert going away party so I didn't even get to attend one game! So I managed to go to the training session the day before.

being a student I don't really have alot of cash to throw at going to Melbourne just for games (Although gee its tempting) and while I do buy a membership to support the club I would like to get something out of my membership.

At an interstate venue I was really surprised that after the training session the players just left and didn't take the time come over to the fans and sign some stuff and get pictures and I was actually really disappointed. (Although I did end up parking on the wrong side of the gabba and managed to run into Juddy and Betts.)

If not for a contact in the club and a mate to collect my membership package I would have received nothing - very, very ordinary service. This was despite several unanswered calls to the membership department from Beijing.

i would like everything to come when it should.

i would like for once something to come without errors - every year errors

I AM STILL WAITING THIS YEAR FOR MY DAUGHTERS CAPTAIN CARLTON PACK !! - STILL WAITING !!

Get rid of the caps if you aren't going to make decent ones

Give me a scarf.

Would happily pay more for more benefits/greater merchandise being included

I remember the days when Dad and I would walk in, renew our memberships and walk out 10 minutes later with our cards and membership packs.

I'm going to mug someone at this weeks game for their 2011 member scarf. I apologise in advance if its you, but you've been forewarned so don't be surprised if and when it happens.

We have an official clothing supplier in Nike, yet churn out crappy caps.

Nike could issue out their caps for less money then what it costs to make the crappy ones.......

Official Nike Cap would be cool.
