Hi all,

A group 7 of us are looking to head over to Perth for the Freo game on August 13th. We had locked our flights in with Tiger sometime ago but they are looking as shaky as our forwardline last night, so we are looking into contengency flights at the moment.

Our concern is according to Ticketmaster tickets dont go on sale until August 1st and we wanted to book flights and accommodation well before that and don't want to book everything and then not get tickets.

So my question is for those who have experience going on interstate trips; Is it worth waiting until August 1st to book seats or is there a way you can book them through the club?

We are either Carlton members or AFL members if that helps.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Go Blues.

my understanding is the carlton allocation of tickets is sold out, there would be bugger all tickets left for this game

I'm with Grro - I was away for a few days and got my letter when I got home - I rang the club but the club allocation is already sold out!

First game I haven't seen the Blues play in Perth in 17 years if I can't get me a ticket!

probably will depend on how freo are travelling at the time - eg finals bound or not

if not , the fickles will not go and that should open up some LIMITED tickets for the general public

the blues allocation sold out in 3 hours !!!

i am also flying over for this one and wasn't aware that there was a 'carlton allocation' of tickets. I checked the website and thought id wait until august 1 to buy tickets. How on earth do we (members) hear about club allocations going on sale?? i knew nothing.
Flights and accom are locked in, geez i hope we can get tickets. 2 tickets
Anyone out there who can help?? cannot miss this, have had flights booked since feb

the club sends letters to us about the game and pre match function to buy tickets, must only be to the WA members?

at SUBI the away team gets a limited allocation behind the goals, this is what sold out in 3 hours

majority of the ground is eagles/dockers members and then limited tickets to the general public

im guessing ticketek arent selling tickets until 1 august? if thats the case then your best bet is to be on the phone very early on the 1st of august

dont think there is anything else you can do

Ouch!

Didn't think it would be this hard to get seats thought that was going to be the easy part.

Will just have to take our chances on the 1st August.

Thanks for the heads up.

Anyone know if/when/where the boys are likely to be having an open training session before the match?

To save anyone some time waiting on the phone, they are on sale today 9.00am Perth time. Not Melbourne time as I just found out - even though the website lists it as 9.00 in a Victorian profile.

Managed to get tickets behind goals. Pretty sure it will be at the Carlton cheer squad end.
