Laidler"s deliberate out of bounds in the last? kicks it forward, towards goal, and it takes an odd bounce and goes out. Umpire, you are a moron!! :screwy:

Picked the margin in the footy tipping as well.

I'll take the win, Hendo, Duigan and Laidler have really stepped up.

Oh and KK - I believe!!

I'm taking credit for tonight, thank you very much.

Well.....taking credit for the win, not the shit play, kicking, umpiring, etc.

Just caught the Gibbs grab re Houla.

If it is true and I suspect it might be.

Houla thank you and best wishes. I have many fond memories of your carreer at Carlton. Sorry you could not have had more success but you were in the trenches when it mattered and the club was experincing its darkest hour. Respect.

Heard on the radio for his presentation in the rooms for his 200th and he said he is excited that he will be playing finals with the boys this year.

It definately sounded like he expects more games and is not considering hanging up the boots just yet.

I'm sure CFC website will have a video of the presentation this week sometime, so as far as hoops is concerned it is game on!!!!

I really liked the game... I felt like throwing some punches early on, but it always looked like we were going to open it up at the end and out run them.

A good tight game...

Mind you its been about a month since I have had a chance to sit down and watch a full game on the night! God I miss it!!!

What will be worse is listening to that flowering flowerstick of a flowering moron Jeff Gieschen justifying this pathetic flowering flowerstick of a decision.

Even Judd had the "WTF are you blokes on about" look!!!! Just dumb and nonsense umpiring most of the night. I was appalled even at half of the free kicks we received. And that doesnt even include the ones they missed.

While not rated that highly by many tonight, I thought Oscar's dad had a damn fine game, at least after quarter time. As usual, gave us heaps of drive and showed leadership through example.

One of the best wins for the year

Love beating these @#$%&! :smoking: :thanks: :smoking: :thanks:

COP THAT @#$%&!

Game should have been over earlier given the number of inside 50s and shots for goal. As Ratten said in his interview our movement inside 50 was poor and I'm not sure Kreuzer is a forward...he can't get separation on his opponent often enough. Hendo played a ripper and wait till Jamo gets back.

Brock wasn't too bad; got some possessions from spreading from the stoppage.

Duigan's courage was brilliant...he has sure hands.

The Yaz is a Rolls Royce. Just give him the ball.

Good Gibbs went forward he should have kicked a few more.

I saw a kickout strategy at times. Simpson was the man who Yaz kicked to. He then used his body brilliantly to bring it down.

However they got 2 coast to coast goals...training drill goals. They still need to be worked on.

Let's get to the halfwits.

You would think people with narcissistic personality disorder need treatment.

He fits the job description (lawyer)

If the match committee gave houlihan a farewell game this week in such a crucial game and he wasn't called up on merit, then we are still a joke off the field....collingwood didn't give Josh Fraser his 200th

Fraser played 200 games for Collingwood.

Pretty scrappy game but happy with the 4 points.
For some reason we dont play well against North.
Very frustrating to watch, our kicking for goal was poor yet again. :banghead: :banghead:
Judd stood up when it counted, Simmo was great again. Gibbs was good.
Great games by Duigan, Laidler and Hendo. Duigan's mark reminded me of one Ken Hunter took.
Umpiring was again terrible, McBurney    .
That deliberate out of bounds in the last quarter was a joke, even though i called (as a joke).
Well done to Houlihan, great effort.

So Josh spat the dummy and went to the GC. Or was it that they knew he was going to leave so they did it out of spite?
If you are going to use Collingwood as your yardstick on how to treat players, you're way off the mark. Just look at how they treated Didak. Shaw. Maxwell.

Even if it were a gesture by the MC it doesn't matter. It would have been made under consideration of the opposition. He gets 200, we win. You should be pleased. It's done.

Just let it go.

I was thinking that as well.....Collingwood isn't the greatest example.

I'm talking purely from a talent perspective here....yes they should have booted out didak and shaw for what they did but didn't because both are talented players....but that's a different matter altogether....Collingwood left no stone unturned to win the flag and succeeded and one of their decisions was not to give Fraser his 200th game just because he was stuck on 199...yeah he spat the dummy, but who had the last laugh???? My point is we should not be giving players sentimental farewell games to reach milestones when they have not deserved a game on their form in the ants. It's the little things like this that make that iota of difference between success and failure.

The reigning premiers aren't a good example???? Then who is?

Anyway, happy we won, we struggle against norf always. Still some silly passages of play we need to eradicate from our game, go the doggies tomorrow!

Probably one of the worst decisions I have seen in the AFL for some time.

He did? My mistake then....my point still remains though...we should not be showing any sentiment at such a crucial stage of the season....anyway looks like he's not hanging p the boots if he was talking on the radio about playing finals, let's move on...go blues

When the extremely incompetent Jeff Gieschen is in charge of the bozos that make decisions like this is it any wonder.

He couldnt play, he couldnt coach - spent most of the time knifing people in the back, never umpired and now is ruining the game of football after ruining every other thing he has touched in his professional life.

Please retire now.
