What's Marc Rucciutto up to these days? I always had a feeling he'd make a good coach or assistant coach.

He works in the media, and sounds like he sucked on a helium balloon....

Not too bad at what he does, but his voice does not fit the way he played footy....

What makes people think Richo is the brains?
He's is charge of our kickouts, how do you think they're coming along?

I'd suggest they all have strengths and weaknesses but as a group, they're doing a reasonable job.

Without trying to be too much of stirrer, I'd much prefer Alan Richardson to stay with us as senior coach.

No offence to Ratt's, I just get the feeling Richo is the brains in this relationship.

I do realise you are just going on a vibe with this but i think you need to look further into both Ratts and Richo's roles in the coaching team before you settle on this conclusion.

I agree Richardson will make a good coach. It will take him a couple of years to learn a few of things on the job in the end I believe will be a good senior coach. No point replacing Ratts with him though. It will stall us.

Sage like advice indeed Club29.

I will defer to your judgement as last week happened exactly as you said it would with our smalls doing the running required.

Ratt's stays.

Me think's you are much closer to the action than you let on.

OK guys......I dug deep into ''Warby's Scrapbook'' Vault; and came up with this 3 page article written on Alan Richardson in 2008; but re released on his appointment at Carlton in 2010.

It makes for interesting reading; and I don't think posters will be wanting Richardson to leave after reading it.

Steady on, we won the gambit last week. We still had trouble with marks inside 50 and we still had trouble with contested marking, and beating out taller targets in their forward line.

When midfield dominance is not on, we still need to go back and look at the taller defenders and the setup to ensure we can compete in the air as well as on the ground.

A bit off topic Jimmae but i think we had trouble marking all over the ground in the first half last week and it was a worry. Mainly because it has become a pattern and something that we worked hard on resolving. It wasnt height that was our problem with them taking contested marks on us as there were no height mismatches. Infact a lot of their marks were taken by players smaller than the Blue Boy in the contest. Second half we marked well inside fifty and killed arial contests that in the first half they were winning. Not just that we didnt kick to as many contests and raised our marking from 24 for the first half to 54 for the second.

Cimm, I am just an average joe blow footy punter like you. My approach is see what the MC (who i consider footy experts with loads more data and intelligence than any of us have) do and try and work out why they make the decisions they do with selections and gameplan. They are not trying to make things hard for us and always have a plan. - Thats how i enjoy my football.

I wouldnt bring in Craig. I reckon there would be some young coaches floating around who have been studying the science of the modern game that will bob up for a senior assistant role.
