We seriously have dodged a bullet if that is true - as there is no better team in the League than us if you need a change of form or need to start kicking straight.

NORTH Melbourne coach Brad Scott has ruled out recalling ruckman Hamish McIntosh or forward Lindsay Thomas for tomorrow night's crunch clash against Carton.
The Roos return to Etihad Stadium, where they have won their last two matches, and Scott said today he was happy with how his side was traveling at the moment.

''In terms of our ins and outs, Lindsay Thomas definitely won't play and Hamish McIntosh definitely won't play,'' Scott said after training this morning.

''They the two that I think our supporters probably would be thinking were a chance to play this week, but we don't think they're quite ready so we'll go in with a team that's done the job for us in the last couple of weeks.''

Thomas has had a good record against Carlton of late, but Scott said the forward was not ready to return from his VFL exile.

Sorry Lindsay, gonna have to have your birthday some other time.

Hmmmmm......

The Silky One and Brock. Big big question marks on both those two for mine.

One of them won't put his body on the line and the other can't get out of a trot.
Poor selections

I am surprised there is no Carlos, not even selected as an emergency

Backing the forward line that did the job last week. Speed being our weapon.

Looking at the changes I guess it's Brock for Curnow and Hoops for Twomey.

I like Brock for Curnow, on the basis that Nth is pretty slow and Etihad is more his size of ground. I also like it because by all accounts Brock has been outstanding in the VFL and Curnow has been nothing like he was early in the season. A run in the VFL to get his head and body right should be good for him.

I'm not as convinced with Houlihan vs Twomey. For mine what Twomey has produced over the last couple of weeks was at least as good as Hoops' couple of games, and it doesn't sound like he was lighting it up for the Bullants.

And once again we are playing a tall forward line with zero flexibility. I really would have liked to see Setanta in. Hendo is the only option for Petrie and I worry what Petrie might do to him with even minimal opportunities.

The last few years it has seemed to me that in every game north were clearly more motivated to us than we have been playing them. If our boys can't raise the desire to beat an inferior team with the top 4 carrot on the line we don't deserve to be there.

Blues by 37 points.

The team is stronger than last week (not physically).

Curnow looks stuffed. Brock HAD to be given a run, simple as that.
