shame about the head bandages

Not at all.
In the Mexican U17 world cup semi final, a kid called Gomez (yep!) got poleaxed in a collision with the goalkeeper. He got his head bandaged up like that with bloodstains on it and played on. He kicked a bicycle goal to put Mexico into the final, (which they won).
The next week, there were 100,000 people at Stadio Azteca for the final and about 20,000 of them were wearing bandages. You can see them in the background of the attached photo.
He still had his head bandaged for the final and when he ran on as a sub, the place went wild.
It's become part of Mexican fokelore overnight.
Here's a pic of him after the final.

Watched the boys singing the song on CFC TV and you can clearly hear Twomey being told to go into the middle. Seems instead he preferred to stand next to Juddy and belt out the song sans powerade shower.

Interesting question about Twomey.

I did notice that after the win, whilst still on the ground, he was sort of standing on his own whilst there were groups of other players in little cliques huddled a few metres away in 3 different directions and he wasn't involved. Seemed a little distracted or a bit reluctant to join in with other blokes.... issues down there at Royal Parade??

Maybe he's an Essendon* supporter!

Did that Dive Bomber Lloyd go home at 3/4 time?

I can't remember hearing any bleating from him in the last unless my hearing has evolved to block that nimrod out.

No of course not !!!!

He started listing one by one all the injuries Essendon* had.
But as he was making his point I think we kicked a goal which shut him up.

Lloyd is the biggest tool ever. He was talking up their talks in the forwardline saying that our backline was poo and how they would be too much for us in the second half! Suffer in your jocks you diving winger!

Well, he was right to some extent. It was the mid-field dominance in the 2nd half which changed the game, and bomber forwards had much reduced delivery.

Yeah I heard that too Maxy.

During the commentary you could hear Wallsy laughing in the back ground after he made that comment about Essendon* supporters leaving.

Wallsy was loving the last quarter. Made quite a few thinly veiled comments.

If I was Wallys I would have used a loud hailer - he has been working with some absolute knobs over the past 10 years who have taken utter joy sticking it to us (like Quartermain, Christian et al) - so to listen to him give to Lloyd was an absolute treat.

Love the open mouths in the crowd, and the security bloke leaning to get a better view around the post.

What the !@#$%& was this for???

Just seems to me that too many posters take the smallest incident, and without any real insight into what's going on, blow it completely out of proprtion and suggest that CFC is on the brink of implosion.

Mate, I just passed on a comment about what I observed following another comment about Twomey not being in the middle during a song. I was curious as to why because he looked to be completely at a loss about where he should go and what he should do. Seemed friendless. Hardly doom and gloom or the club imploding but my question about whether there are issues down there at Royal Parade upon witnessing that little bit of footage was an open question for anyone who might know anything, especially in relation to the comments and look of the team coming out against Footscray.

anyone who saw THAT entrance onto the paddock and the low key warm up, and the look on Judd's face pregame would be entitled to ask similar sorts of questions......

Remember the big kid you used to line up in front of you to take speccies over when you were in under 12s, while the under 14s was going on, well the Scum bloke reminds me of him.

Ahhhh, good times.
