Thanks DLC.

And thank goodness it's the mcg.

The way the ladder is shaping we could possibly play them two weeks in a row as well....that prospect makes me slightly nervous.

Was thinking the same - without the nerves.

This poses an interesting situation for the coaching panel....

Let's say hypothetically we are odds on to finish 5th going into this match and Saints are a good chance to finish 8th, meaning in all likleyhood we meet again the following week.

Does the club bust a gut in this game and are the 4pts the most important thing in rd 24? Or is there a need to keep cards close to chest and not show too much tactically in terms if what we'd want to implement come finals time?

As an aside, is this the AFL telling us that our first final will be on the Sat night (if qualifying) or Sunday (if eliminaton)?

I don't think that's an issue at all. If we play with intensity we will win. If we don't , we lose. There is no secret weapon.

I would be surprised if we play St Kilda first week of the finals - I expect them to easily make the 8 and finish 6th. My guess is Freo. Of course, such predictions mean nothing this far out - all I would say is there is a better chance that we will play either Collingwood, North, Freo or Melbourne than there is that we will play the Saints.
