Why would you want to bring back in at Etihad to be exposed for his lack of pace. I would drop Curnow and Davies and replace them with Austin, just in case we need to swing Henderson up forward and Carrots if fit to tag Wells who is in my opinion their no 1 playmaker.

Because ES is a smaller ground and Norf aren't a quick team. Perfect time to bring in McLean. It's about time we start getting some value for pick 11

Agree, Curnow and Ellard have been ordinary the last couple of weeks and you need to reward players who show good form at the Bullants.

except that on the odd occasion bullants form can be misleading as AFL tempo is very different to VFL tempo

I understand that but you play players who are in form and are playing with confidence. Ellard and Curnow are playing with no confidence at senior level.

Four unforced changes from a team that won by 12 goals?

Carazzo did his hammy the day before a game so he will probably miss again. Will be touch and go.

THIS IS THE KEY! Play a psychotic, all out pressure, tackling, gut running and spread game. Silence these nuisance flowering paupers from the first bounce. If we show the slightest tentative behaviour, they will pounce. Look at what Coll did to them a few weeks back when they pumped their chest out during the week saying that they needed a big scalp. Consolidate our top 4 and virtually end their season, those wretched nuisance bastards (still haven't gotten over that arsey game by Lindsay Thomas last year)

PSYCHO football Blues.....Nothing less!!!!!!

Assuming Kreuzer pulled up fine but Bower, Carrazzo & Waite need another week out -

In: Brock, Setanta
Out: Curnow/Ellard, Davies/Tuohy

I find it hard to split Curnow & Ellard, but neither are in great form and I think Brock deserves a run. One of them will miss out. Same with Davies & Tuohy - one of them needs to make way so that we can get Setanta back in so we can leave T-Bird back in defence.

JR will be in the mix, but having watched him on Saturday I think another VFL game wouldn't hurt him.

B: Duigan T-Bird Laidler
HB: Yarran Hendo Scotland
C: Simmo Judd Armfield
HF: Garlett Kreuzer Robbo
F: Betts Setanta Tex

R: Warnock Gibbs Murphy
Inter: Brock, Curnow/Ellard, Davies/Tuohy
Sub: Twomey

You missed the "playing for our finals spot" and this is our yearly "grand final".

Honestly Blues, just want the ball as much as them and be 110% focused and the rest will take care of itself. Only max effort will do.

I reckon we give Brock one final shot.

I love Curnow, but he's looking tired. The season is taking it's toll. But coming from VFL, that was always to be expected.

Brock's form seems to warrant another shot, but gee - if he can't show at least a hint that he can match it at this level then i'd say that'd be it.

Apart from that, is there much reason to tinker with a 10+goal winning team? I'd think not. Maybe Setanta in??

SUCKS to be back at Etihad. Fingers crossed for no more injuries.

I am fed up with this lot – and in particular the way all clubs have come into games against us thinking they are in with a chance – its time to take games by the scruff of the neck and “psyche” our opponents out games before the ball is even bounced.

Teams still take the view when playing us that they are playing the Carlton of 2002 to 2007 – and that the 4 points are merely 80 minutes of training drill football away.

We have to change that expectation – and the only way we can do that is to irrelevant teams like North Melbourne on a regular basis.

Oh yeah and pole axe that little Oompah Loompah as well.

Would love to smash North Melbourne. They have it coming.

We aren't going to play Lindsay Thomas into form are we?

Well said as per usual Agro!
Hence the very reason why at this stage we should not put in performances like we did against WC & Doggies. I know I harp on these 2 losses but they un-did a hell of a lot of good work we had done.

Both players had their heads down going for the ball and clashed, nothing in it what so ever.

Agree about Etihad, but I think it's a bit early to be finally stamping McLeans papers.

I thought both Thuoy and Davies were pretty good.

Davies had not played all year and did not look out of place

I think one of Ellard and Curnow will make way for Mclean. The other ins will be determined by inury recovery from Waite and Carrazzo. Maybe Setanta in also.
