Not getting as much at the moment out of our fringe midfielders.
Inability to make opposition scoring difficult in the first half.

Armfield has bobbed up as someone who can replace Ellard or Curnow. Good timing i reckon.

There was something wrong structurally in the first half that allowed them to score easily once they broke our press. Ratts mentioned in the presser that they adjusted 2 things which he didnt name that rectified the problem.

Not convinced about Armfields disposal in pressured situations.

Ellard had a spell that he needed last night which might freshen him up or brock might be given another chance.

Ellard and Curnow are equally as suspect with their disposal under pressure. Armfield has bobbed up as an onball option at the very least.

Armfield was surprisingly good at centre bounces. Clean hands and when he won it in close his pace allowed him to burst away from the stoppage.

I agree about Armfield. Great time to recapture his best form. With his pace he really adds something when he's playing well.

Pros :
* Simpson's pass to Garlett on the run who goaled. Pure class that.
* Kruezer grabbing a couple in the forward 50m - he keeps doing that and
the dynamics of our forward change considerably.
* Judd's double-take handball to Betts in the goal square to goal. Talk about
poise under pressure.
* Armfield - I thought he was good enough to at least go off the "fringe player"
list for a couple of weeks.

Cons :
Nah ... not today.

Probably because he still plays like a first gamer.
Glad someone has now asked the question about this fraud

Very generous to Raph Clarke

Point taken.

Yeah couldnt help but notice this too. Cant believe the scum play canned roaring crowd noises before the bounce every quarter, and are dumb enough for us to think it's their actual crowd noise. i find its in very bad taste, like canned laughter on really bad sitcoms!

i dont mind the dramatic music stuff (to an extent), but fake crowd noises !!!??! - gimme a break

You are, but this shits me also. Before the Filth game they played the music virtually until the players were waiting for the umpire to bounce the ball. Personally, I'd rather listen to the excitement of the crowd build to its peak.

Arched his back several times. Hope he does so again on Friday night, love hearing Bwooce commentate when someone "arches the back", always makes me chuckle.

gonna be a bit lateral here and try to avoid the obvious ones (eg Judd/Betts/Walks)

PROS:
Hendo's CONFIDENCE
Warnock's INTENSITY
Armfield's OPPORTUNITY
Gibbs' FLEXIBILITY

CONS:
Davies might get another game now
Duigs and Tuohy make a lot of errors but I think that's still nerves and inexperience, once theyre comfortable they'll soar

I reckon you were right first time molsey.

At least you can see some athletic potential in Clarke, something to say that if he had the right development he could be semi decent.

Davey is utter garbage.
