They sucked us in physically last year and we gave away about 1000 stupid silly free kicks.

Need Duigan and Laidler to be better than they were last night in helping Hendo deal with Petrie.

What we need is for Thornton to play back all night and help Henderson out with Petrie.

Ohalpin is a monty to return this week to play at FF.

What we need is for the midfield to get on top and the forwards to put the right pressure on when the ball is coming out.

We can take a week off stressing. We'll smash North and if we don't, we know we're not good enough anyway.

Expect the old "it's a rare Friday night outing for us and we're keen to impress the footy world" line from Norf.

Hopefully Carrots is back, straight to Boomer.
Gibbs to Wells.
Hendo on Petrie.

As others have said, Norf are better than the brave ones atm and if we bring the first half of last night, Petrie may kick 10 goals...

Our backline needs help... it needs help from the midfielders and we're yet to construct a back up game plan to cover the loss of Jamo. Monga said something last night which was greeted with a chuckle from someone, Walls maybe but I agree entirely. He claimed that the only thing that separates us from the best teams is the ability to make a 2 on 1 marking contest on our defensive 50.

If we can play consistently like we did in the second half against the Bummers, I honestly believe we can beat anyone.

I know Ellard came on as the sub but he still didn't get a touch last night and McLean gets 40 in the Bullants? Maybe a change there.
Davies or Tuohy if he is injured for Russell.
O'Hailpin/Austin for ??. Maybe a straight swap for Thornton, who hasn't been playing badly but just has not got the physical presence.

Why would you want to bring back in at Etihad to be exposed for his lack of pace. I would drop Curnow and Davies and replace them with Austin, just in case we need to swing Henderson up forward and Carrots if fit to tag Wells who is in my opinion their no 1 playmaker.

Conundrum

Because ES is a smaller ground and Norf aren't a quick team. Perfect time to bring in McLean. It's about time we start getting some value for pick 11

Agree, Curnow and Ellard have been ordinary the last couple of weeks and you need to reward players who show good form at the Bullants.

This is the same mob who were absolutely smashed by 20 goals a few weeks ago.

If we lose this one then September glory is just a pipedream.

I don't think it is so Blues by 50 points.
