Yarran's goal was my favourite of the night..

Henderson's lead up work for that was absolutely brilliant..Not the first time he has showed great evasive skills..I think we have found our CHB when Jamo comes back.. Have always thought he was a better defender after he beat Buddy in Tasmania playing for Brisbane

- Very happy to see a great return to form by Armfirle

Really looking forward to seeing the backline with both Jamo and Henda in key posts. Both attacking tall defenders. Henda will improve his defense in the air and at stoppages.

Duigan Jamo Yaz
Gibbs Henda Laidler

Looks solid and attacking

Pro:- Fitness and intensity
-Armfield - him playing well allowed us to use Gibbs in defense where he dominated and set up goals.
-Judd
- Simpson
- Betts
- Mark of the year

Con:- Getting outmarked all over the ground in the second. It is a pattern and Ratts educated and drilled the players on it all week. It was a worry at halftime but we rectified it and not only stopped them in the second half but took a few contested marks ourselves.
- not being able to shake them in the first half.

Pros
1. Smashed the scum - just hate 'em and a perfect perfect evening.
2. Murph's second half
3. Eddie's efforts
4. Gibbsy's calmness across half back.
5. Special K's contested marks in the 3rd
6. Judd
7. Walker's mark
8. Simmo's 150th

Cons
First half and unaccountable midfield
Lack of contested marks in first half
Not much else

Big Big Con........

The pub I was watching the game at turned the volume down at half time........ So I didn't get to listen to the sound of Monga Llyod's foot being shoved into his mouth.

Pros:
- I'm back baby
- Walker takes his 2nd MOTY contender. Hopefully now he'll offer some leads too
- EDDIEEEEEEEEE. Keep it up mate
- Juddy picked us
- Three forwards around the 40 goal mark. A big forward with presence would be the perfect cherry on top
- Great game from Dangles, welcome back to the seniors
- Kreuz starting to plonk some in the goalsquare. We need someone to take some contested marks up fwd
- Twomey and Davies did their jobs
- We humiliated James Hird and the Essendon* Football Club.

Cons:
- The first half
- Defense still shaky. We need Jamo back ASAP, not just for his individual ability, but the flow-on effect for the rest of our defence. Hendo's trying and not doing a bad job, but he's not ready to take the best key forward yet
- Some of the kicking forward still a bit inefficient
- Yazz had one of his not so great games.
- Curnow isn't right
- We let Reimers kick a goal
- We tend to drop off in intensity after a great win, and we have one of our worst party-poopers next week, and at Etihad

Pros
- Andrew Walker. If I ever have kids I can tell them I was there for Walker's mark. It was great to see everyone jumping up and down going nuts.
- Eddie Betts. 8.0.
- Judd. Just give him the Brownlow already for @#$%&!'s sake.
- Dennis Armfield. Willing to take the game on, tackle, block, run.
- Matthew Kreuzer. Good solid game and love all the non-glamourous shit he does. There was one bit of play in the 3rd where it was him and 2 Scum players near the boundary in our forward 50 and he kept pressuring, punching, tackling.

Cons
- Eddie Betts. Probably won't kick a goal the next two weeks.
- They marked easily in their forward 50 when they could get the ball in - missing Jamo/a big defender.
- Yaz was very quiet in the first half.
- Warnock. Sick of seeing him getting outmuscled in contests. He also makes me nervous when he has the footy.
- Umpires were predictably shit at times.

I'm joking.

But he has the tendency to play a blinder then play a few not so great games.

I did think our delivery to him tonight was good - no bombing it onto his head but better placed kicks so he could out maneuver his opponent or take it on the chest.

BTW, Lachie's run off HB was superb. If Jamo comes back to shore up the goalsquare, Lachie's rebound could be a real weapon, which is weird as he seems a bit sluggish as a forward.

All of the above.

I just wanted to add that Armfield was fantastic today and I loved what I saw of him. Except the mo, of course.

My only real Con was the point they scored at the end of the third quarter. So desperately wanted to keep them scoreless

A big pro was Scotland backing back into the hole & marking on the members wing, 3rd qtr.

Great stuff.

Yep, posted that earlier. Bloody hell, he's very quick and agile for a big bloke. Give him another year or so and he'll really arrive. And the kicking up the line very nice. The Fev trade lookig oh so good

Actually played a pretty good game ol' Scooter. He's had a very solid year, and must be in top 6 B&F ?

Agree on most points.

Very pleased with our big men again. Kreuzer's performances as a forward have been inconsistent, but he makes a huge difference when he's providing a target up forward.
Slashing games from Judd and Murph and Betts.
Encouraging games from Tuohy, Twomey and Davies.
More of the same from Robbo and Walker.

Cons:
Garlett and the goalpost.
Not getting as much at the moment out of our fringe midfielders.
Inability to make opposition scoring difficult in the first half.

Do the goalposts grow in size whenever Jeffy tries to kick a goal?

Armfield has bobbed up as someone who can replace Ellard or Curnow. Good timing i reckon.

There was something wrong structurally in the first half that allowed them to score easily once they broke our press. Ratts mentioned in the presser that they adjusted 2 things which he didnt name that rectified the problem.
