We need a win. Simple as that.

Anything less is unacceptable.

Not so much worried about their midfield, as we should easily be able to cover them, especially without Hocking and Watson in the Scum team.. However, its taking care of their big blokes in Hille and Hurley thats a bit of a concern...

We should win, but as we all know, the Scum have a knack of beating us when they shouldnt... Hope we come out and blow them appart right from the start, as I cant stand the thought of another close one against these t0ssers....

For the MC apologists I still ask why does Ellard continue to get a game when he cannot get a touch and Austin who can play FORWARD and back, has PACE, can MARK, cannot get a game when we lose lose two talls this week.

Just say if their talls do get go on top, do we have a plan B? I am guessing no way.

I appreciate the MC have the inside running but it would be nice if they could share some of their wisdom with us when so many cannot work it out.

Carlton still by 49 points.

Midfield: don't underestimate Heppell and Melksham. They are still developing, but will play like they have nothing to lose & cut us up if we dont pay attention to them.

We need to smash Reimers & Davey. They always lift to torment us!

I'd say Ellard is in because he has a crack and works his arse off. I'd be surprised if the MC has assigned him a role where a high possession game is his aim.

I've just sat through the first quarter of the Collingwood game and I can tell you he is off the boil physically, as well as positionally.

I don't think he had a single touch.

What Camelboy says.

If you are gunna play fave's, I'd prefer it to be the guy's who value their spots like Ellard. He may well be off the boil, but in terms of hard ball getters, we are thin on the ground after Juddy.

Because posters on TC always need something to moan about in relation to the MC.
And we have so many injuries at the moment that there arent too many players left that they've overlooked.

Hence everyone wants Austin!
Go Mark!!

Also: we de-listed Hartlett, so that's robbed us of another MC gripe.

No one has called him a superstar, just some of us believe he deserves a chance to prove himself given our loss of similar type/sized players...

That's OK. Carrazzo doesn't seem to be going anywhere.

He's usually the fall back whipping boy.

Looks to me like our weakest team for the year. Thankfully Essendon* our down a few key players as well. As others have said we need to really dominate in midfield (and we should). We also need to get off to a good start.

And please O please, can we show a bit of needle this week. I particularly want to see Carlton players bumping into Fletcher all game, so he can't waltz around and play loose man and dictate play out of defence. Also wouldn't mind seeing a bit of real aggression toward some of the skinny Essendon* kids.

Who's to say Austin & Lucas wouldn't value a spot in the 22? At what point does Lucas get a chance to redeem himself?

The kid has gone from being in the top half of our list to not in the first 38 picked this year. That's absurd, even with his form woes.
