Just curious - what does it mean when someone on TC says that they won't 'tolerate' anything less than a big win??

What are you going to do if Essendon* beat us?
Burn down Visy Park and fire all the players?

That would be something like this:

I'd love to see Sentanta on Hurley to be honest.......

I reckon Setanta would knock his head off. Sure - he'd get rubbed out for 6 weeks, but damn it'd be fun to watch!

Not sure how we are going to win this to be honest.

They always look like they are at the races when we play them.

We are really undermanned and dont have much to bring in this week.

Oh FFS

Do you ever see the bright side of anything?

We pushed the reigning premiers and red hot premiership favourites and lost by 3 goals last week and you think we have nothing to bring against Essendon*?

Reminds me of the days when posters would announce that "we should no longer accept mediocrity  "
Best part was at the time mediocrity would have been an improvement for us

Should we lose this week, I'll expect at least one TC'er to post an "open letter" to the Players and/or Coaches and/or Board calling for more effort and/or a complete overhaul of the list and/or Ratten's sakcing.

Sticks reads all the open letters on TC carefully,
Then presents them to the board for careful consideration & a vote.

Loved Ratten in the Presser saying "they are playing more like last year", kamakaze running forward etc.

They rely on Fletcher so much to hold the defence together, Carlos must make him accountable.
Interesting night at the selection table, Whitey did such a good job on Hurley last time, and no Jamo damn shame.
In: Oh'Ailpin, Tuohy or Russell (if fit)
Out : Watson, Joseph,

Robbo pantsed him in this round last year, and should be told to do it again. Not sure why he wasn't given the job in round 3.

I think Robbo's moved beyond a defensive forward role in the team now.

Fletcher is a worry. Setanta would be useless on him because Fletcher will zone off Setanta every time he isn't running to a dangerous spot. If we are going to play a pure/non-defensive forward on him with the intention of 'keeping him honest' they need to be very smart about where they run. If they are running to simply keep Fletcher out of the play he won't have a bar of it and just ignore them. Do we have a forward smart enough to make Fletcher respect his positioning? I'm not sure. None spring to mind.

Got a good feeling about this game. This could be the momentum starting game leading up to the finals.

Blues by 42 points.

When Ratts says that big Tant plays well "fresh" does anyone else get the impression they've been keeping him in a cage feeding him chunks of raw meat and poking him with sticks so that he bursts onto the field even more nuts than normal?

Or is it just me :sly:

And sitting him on a chair with his eyelids prised open, forced to watch video after video of Lloyd and Hirdy hugging, and Davey & Monfries winning frees, and Reimers scoring ass-y goals on the rebound.
