Essendon* are sitting in the top 8. We haven't beaten a top 8 side, other than Sydney, this year. Opportunity to atleast save some face.

Not as confident as others. Essendon* have their tails up & Pears Fletcher Hurley all in good form in defence.

I thought Pears was pretty poor last week, Fletcher showing some indecision and Hurley still very good, but not all of the time. They only beat Adelaide remember, and mostly because of a second half burst through second rate players going forward - Colyer and Davey found some space but haven't been able to do that much this year. Monfries stopped diving given the press and lo and behold became a third rate player!

Carlton by 76 points.

Respect both you bloke's opinion but seriously, you're both way off here.

Hopefully the diving Davey gets done for tunneling Matthew Jaensch who injured his shoulder during the incident

molsey I only caught the second half but Pears looked really good to me. Take your point that it was only a depleted Adelaide though.

I guess I'm just worried about the ghosts of Essendon* games past...everyone comes on here & says all week how shit they are & how many have we won against them - 1 from the last 9?

Fletcher had his pants pulled down last weekend against Adelaide, had multiple players kick multiple goals on him and he was being out-marked and his turnovers were bad.
Having said that, I bet he bounces back against us and has a blinder and chases down Eddie Betts this time around in front of goal ;-) ... I f*cking hope not

Brock got injured and reported in the last VFL game he played, so I assume he's not available.

Cleared of injury and the report.

If that's the case, Brock might be a chance to get a game this week - Ellard & Curnow not in great form, it's likely to be a heavy track, and Essendon* don't have a particularly quick midfield...

Mclean might have ankle issues.

If they say he's right, then he isn't. :sly:

I haven't been this confident since the WCE game. That didn't go well.

The danger of the Bombers is, when they start winning, they don't realise how many shortcommings they have.

If we were as delusional as them we'd never lose a game.

I must say I didn't notice him stop the diving. I thought he got at least 2 free kicks from diving. Although we did get one back when he was pushed square in the back and DIDN'T get a free.

Why would you want Davey out? They might pick someone half decent in his place.
