oh we then find form

smash the bombers

scrape home over the even further wounded hawks

upset the pies in a tight one

and thrash the eagles in the grand final because they used all their effort in beating geelong in the prelim

young coach

lowly ladder position

nobody will expect it

BLUEMAN THIS IS YOUR YEAR !!!

Looking at coming back again , but this time with the wife

Week One of the finals is indeed 9-11th of September because it will "that one day in October" this year

Last weekends loss has hurt our top 4 chances big time.

The HUN sugeest the Hawthorn game is the key.

It going to be very tough to win coming off a WA road trip.

Plus they have a midfield that is usually on top of ours (for what ever reason), and we dont match up well against Buddy and Rioli.

We would need to beat the Pies to have any top 4 chance or hope the Eagles run out of steam.......

Yeah and I completely forgot and booked a long weekend over the last weekend in September thinking that because it was both my birthday AND grand final weekend I would be doing a lot of drinking. :donk:

Look on the bright side!!

In 3-4 weeks we will have Waite, Hammer, Jamo available ( at least for VFL), with the option of Setanta.

Lookout!
Dees, Freo, Saints - we should win all those!
And we will give the Hawks a big shake.

Just have to try to find a way to beat the filth scum and Tassie-Roos !

I agree with this.

Sure, they'll be somewhat underdone, but even without those players we should still thump those teams.

And I'm looking at the bye as a positive too......gives us a chance to rest prior to finals.

Odds are against us this week boys, sure, but $&#¥ em - let's go down the hard way and take a few of these pricks with us!!!!
If the pies are gonna win - then make em &$@?ing earn it!

But after that, it's game on. Bombers, north, Melbourne, hawks and freo should be targeted as no-excuse games.

Surely the next three should be won:

Scum
Norfe
Dees

Go Blues

Should we sack everyone? Pack up now? Begin following the 13 sides below us on the ladder who would like to be in our position?

I know we have some issues, but thats life/footy. We are still in a position to control our own destiny, we could win our next 6 :smoking:

Nothing less than 12 pts from these three.

I don't care if we're bullies, the Saints have done us a huge favor tonight and I want top 4 flower.

From there, anything is possible...

FFS, did you seriously think we would beat the Pies without Jamison, Waite, Carrazzo and Russell, among others???

The last 5 years, the team that finished 4th won 14, 15, 13, 14 and 14 games. This year it's probably going to take 16, that's tough. Even if we lose only one more game for the year, we will still likely finish 5th. Win all our remaining games and 4th should be ours.

If we win all our remaining games we will finish 3rd.
