fantastic article with some great insights into the club...
http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/m ... 6095588030

For most of his first two years, he had a 2am curfew and Judd was his social policeman.

"I had to ask Chris every Friday if I could go out (on the weekend)," he said.

"Obviously, he is one of the most professional players and I'd talk to him because I wanted to get on track.

"I'd ask him, 'How do you pace your season?' He'd say, 'If you're going out tonight, you have to be home by this time. Where are you going? Who're you going with?'

"So, if it was a Saturday night, I couldn't just say I'm going out. I'd have to plan it, sit down and plan it with him, and it worked out perfectly last year. I only drank a few times last year.

"So, I spoke to him. It was amazing advice. Coming from a small town, where you're with your mates, in the clubrooms after games, having drinks and then going out. That's how it used to be.

"But up here is a lot different and I'm loving it. I just love playing football."

Judd is worth every cent

That's a terrific article. I get the feeling Mitch is a fantastic character to have around the club and has no doubt contributed a lot to our on field improvement this year.

Tough background and we will reap the benefit of that.

Brilliant article.

No surprises he has ADHD. Good on him knocking back the medications and just saying that's how he is.

I have this image in my mind of Juddy sitting in a dark living room as Mitch comes back from a big night out.

"And WHAT sort of time do you call this??"

as much as you are dependent on the author, I was impressed by the willingness to learn and improve.

Great stuff Robbo, keep at it

Can someone please post a pic of Agro from the muppetts on his drums.

I'd just love to see the comparison

The best bit was this part that was in the HS article, but didn't make the online version.

When asked about being approached by GWS.

"No chance. Not even for a million dollars a years. I'm serious"

It would never cross my mind. That probably looks bad because I'm being loyal to Carlton, Yarran, Eddie and Jeffrey, they are like family to me now.
I hang around them every weekend, every chance I get. I would never leave them or the club.
The Blues gave me a chance, I slipped to number 40 in the draft because a lot of clubs didn't like what was happening back then and Carlton picked me up. I won't leave.
Not even for a million dollars.

He is an absolute darling.
and I love drummers!!!
apart from having great arm muscles...
they are generally funny..if not a little deaf and ..well...out there..but they do cop a bad rap..when generally they are way nicer to spend time with ..than say....keyboard players.

Hope he has a word to his mate Yarran who did a Pendlebury and stepped out of Cloke's way to avoid a hit.

Their squib banged it through for a goal.
