some previous quotes re watson's performances in the bullants by regular talking bullants posters

"watson ho hum"

"started the season well but is now struggling"

"Watson - looked good with the ball in his hands, but he has a long way to go with the defensive aspects. Trails his opponent to the ball nearly everytime and they are geting around him too easily."

Alan Richardson on the radio before the Bulldogs game said that Bower was brought in because of the injuries we had done back but that Austin was next in line and would get a recall based on injury/loss of form of one of the other defenders. He also said that Austin's advantage is that he can be played forward.

In light of our senior asst coach saying that after the Bullants had played, I am not sure where any of the players stand.

If Bower goes forward, I think I will spew.

Like Black Jack McEwen said when asked his personal view
"What I think doesn't matter a damn. It's what Cabinet (the Match Committee) thinks."

WTF :Zac Tuohy would have at least been useful as a defensive back with a decent foot.
For mine Watson deserves a game as much as any other the other backs, and his kicking can help through the press, can also go forward. Hendo for Cloke though.
I hope Twomey has a job and no just a sub sheepdog like the O'Keeffe debarcle against the Eagles. Good luck to Wayde.
Russell is long overdue for a rest and Hoops needs to earn his spot this time.

Can someone tell me more about Twomey please

Can't tell you about VFL form but in the WAFL he was a running defensive type who created play from the back half. He's not quick but he's not a stick insct and a natural footballer who knows how to break a tackle then deliver.

Based on Collingwoods style it's a good in IF the thought of 90,000 people doesn't scare him sh1tless.

Plus I'd say he's one of only a handfull of AFL listed players who's worked for a living. Yes, he's a tradie(sparky I think) , and THAT SOULD COUNT FOR SOMETHING GODDAMMIT!!!!!!!!!

Go you working class BLUES , @#$%&! yeah.!!!!!

Sheesh. Watto and Wayde   Didn't see that coming.

And what about Thouy ? Is he injured ? Surely he comes in if not :?:

Hope that Curnow is right to go, but posters were saying that he was blowing after the first q of the Ants :|

This would have to be our C team. Will be our best win since the 99 Prelim if we can pull it off.

Yeah...Twomey...Touhy..both have the word TWo in them..probably the MC just got a bit confused.

Well, if it is a 'C' team..let's hope they turn it onto a 'See what we can do!!' team.

All the best to Wayde Twomey...go for it son!!!

I agree with the big 'T'. 'cept i think it is the heart as well the head. Emotion plus will.
Gibbs thinks we can..hope his mind frame is catchy as all get out.
Why not.
Where there is life..there is hope.

We have a core of grat players all gonna be on the park..and with nothing to lose.

On such a winters day..............(on a winters day.)

I'd love to see watson start out of the sqaure up forward. Just to mix things up a bit.

hendo can have first crack at cloke.

also don't get why Thouy isn't playing especially with russell out. He shouldn't have been dropped in the first place.

hopefully bower is the sub were he can't get into trouble for half a game. he looked clueless up forward last week.
Has no physical presence whatso ever. don't know what to do with him to be honest.

Gutted that our Vietnamese was overlooked for the second week in a row.

Wouldn't be shokced to see the Pies send Tarrant forward to stretch our backline with their rotations. Cloke, Tarrant and Keeffe plus, Brown and Jolly spending time forward. They're good enough to get away with Reid on Kreuzer and Maxwell on Walker.

I don't see why not?....

He's 6'5", can take a grab and can kick accurately over 60 metres - I reckon that sounds like the perfect forward!!

Seriously, the way our forward line has been functioning lately it's probably a good option. We need someone who can kick them from outside 50 because we will be there quite a bit during this game. :yikes:
