i agree Jim. Though i am not unhappy with the MC trying something a little different. Can't really get much worse can it!?

Curnow will bust a nut, fit or unfit.
Wayde, you would think, will do everything in his power to impress.
Watto on the third tall may not be so bad

How Touhy doesn't crack a game when AJ continues to turn it over 20m under no pressure is beyond me

No Tuohy.

If he's named as an emergency wouldn't be surprised if he was a late in.

Thrilled to have Curnow back. Watson or Austin, meh.

Hoping RR, ABNS, Jimmae etc can tell us more about Twomey. Hope he's quick.

People a bit harsh on watto .. Cloke only managed 2 goals last time even if he did beat Watson quite a few times in the air.

Curnow will scrap with Ball. Thought he did quite well scrapping inside last week at the ants. The ball rarely got out of the bubble safely in opposition hands. I reckon he looked stuffed because they didnt rotate him as much to get him fit. Seemed to be out there for long stretches.

I would not have replaced Waite with a tall. Hopefully Bower has more run in his legs this week.

I trust the MC have a plan and are doing their best to come up with ways to get the best result for this game.

Russ had to be left out. He has looked cooked for a while. No real pre season and a bad leg.

Would have prefered Touhy ahead of Watson.

Cant wait to see how it unfolds.

I like the inclusion of Curnow he adds another dimension to the midfield and has a knack of being where the ball is....the idea behind Watson would be to free up Hendo for a role up forward as the Bower experiment will not be repeated. So its Bower Watson and Thornton back. Twomey....well good luck to him what a great game for a guy of his background to debut in.

They obviously have a negating role in mind for AJ...will be interesting to see how the HB line lines up....Scotland and Gibbs need to be at their best this week...There is a plan behind these inclusions....very debatable whether it will come off....personally I believe one burst from the Pies and the game will be done and dusted....cruise control after that....our only real hope is to start very well and actually build a lead early on and then weather the storm before finishing strongly....this is one of the biggest games for the club in the last few years....we have yet to respond to such challenges in the Ratten era....This is the type of game that can provide the first signs of what the future holds....the changing of the guard....similar to when Pies belted the Cats a few years ago....that game provided the first signs....this is a big opportunity....will we take it? Or will we get sucked in by all the hype that surrounds reigning premiers?

To be honest I believe even with the omissions we have the players to get the job done....they just have to believe it to....

:yikes:

Sheesh. Watto and Wayde   Didn't see that coming.

And what about Thouy ? Is he injured ? Surely he comes in if not :?:

Hope that Curnow is right to go, but posters were saying that he was blowing after the first q of the Ants :|

This would have to be our C team. Will be our best win since the 99 Prelim if we can pull it off.

I have trusted the MC all year, last week was iffy as is this but not matter who they brought in I was always doubtful we would run this one out.

I would love to see Brock and Zac on the track though...

Well done to Twomey!

Tempted to use caps lokc to reply.

Cloke and Watson were too big for Watson who isn't match hardened and match fit.

Keeffe is taller than Kreuzer, so he's too big for Watto.

Like him or not, Thomas works hard - he runs and runs. Does AJ have the tank to go with him? Carrots would have been perfect.

Henderson must play back, we really only have to worry about Cloke, he's the perfect match up that is available.

Bower :banghead:

When you think about it, life's really all about the ins and outs.

Look I think Twomey is probably the best of the ins; he's not quick, but he's tough, he reads the play well and he's got size and a decent leg on him. Has kicked plenty of goals in the VFL (over a goal a game I think despite games in defence) and he can play at either end.

This is probably a direct swap for Houlihan, who I thought was caught out more by his team mates stagnant running than the opposition.

I WAS a Bower fan but he drives me wild lately.
How the hell does he get another chance from his work on the weekend?

Give me strength!

Can anyone give any info on Twomey?

watson???? WTF????? talk about 'earning' your spot ! I can't remember him being in the bullants best in the last 8 weeks !

I've seen him play....and put simply, he ain't ready ! doesn't win contests against blokes in the VFL...how is he going to compete against the best ?

MC getting desparate and smacks of spiralling out of control....going to be an interesting finish to the season !

Last week's Bullants game is available on ABC's iView, and you can read Bullants reports in TalkingBullants.
