Supercoach scores are the reason Joel Bowden got an AA gig, and that people think Swan is better than Judd.

Whispers have Bower coming on for Zac.

Apologies if someone else has already posted this.

Ah Jeeze, Razor Ray. Needs to be reminded that he's the monkey not the organ grinder, gets thoroughly carried away with his own self importance.

Tough call on Tuohy if true. It's not like the Bullies have an abundance of tall forwards.
I'm a big fan of Bower but Tuohy has earnt his spot and has done nothing to see him dropped.
Perhaps they're looking to the Collingwood game but with Dawes out, what's the need.

No it's not

Agreed, Presti was a walk up starter for the pies and I guarantee not one person was stupid enough to give him a fantasy footy guernsey.

Unless Bower does come in, as seems to me the most likely scenario, we seem a tall defender short. Hendo has genuine height, but Tbird is really only a third tall albeit he can do well on taller opponents as long as the aren't top shelf forwards and Laidler just doesn't have the height to be any more than third tall at best, albeit he does well against third tall forwards. So we will give away a lot of height to Liam Jones unless Hendo picks him up, which would leave Tbird for BBB and Laidler for Grant. In that situation I'd feel more comfortable with Bower on the bench, or else our only cover would be Waite or even at a stretch Kreuzer going to defence, which would rob the forward line severely.

But, if we have problems potentially with their tall forwards, what about at the other end? Wood on Waite? Williams on Kreuzer? Sheesh, talk about outmatched. OK Morris could take either of those roles and do at least a decent job, but then Walker frees up.

Like most matches, whoever wins in midfield will go along way to deciding the outcome but unless they do us badly in midfield I don't like their defence's chances of holding our forwards.

Morris will take one of Garlett or Betts, bet your house on it - he goes the dangerous small forward more often than not. Which means a combination of Williams and Markovic will have to take the bigger bodies up forward (Markovic will take the resting ruckmen if I was a betting man). Walker is a tough match-up and we only really have Easton Wood that has the athleticism to do this job, and he's still finding his feet after missing 3 months with a knee injury earlier this season. Carlton has some serious weapons up forward, and having the AA version of Lake MIA only exposes us even more. Hargrave is also a big loss down back with his ability to play tall and small, and we miss Harbrow's rebound run and carry - basically our entire defensive 50 has had an overhaul between seasons.

No doubt Touhy has been fairly solid since he debuted, but I think his output has been a tad low and it is probably a good time for him to go back to the Ants and refine and improve what he has learnt in this seniors and wait for his recall (which probably wont be too far away)

Glad to see Emu back!

With Curnow just missing out on form... maybe I should demand to take over the role of the entire match committee. :P
