Noticed in an email from the AFL that the Rd 22 game is (not surprisingly) fully ticketed, but also that it's a "Level 3 Premium Seating" game.

Sounds like gouging to me.

But in any case, I've tried to buy tickets with my membership thru Ticketmaster and there's nothing available.

It says tickets have been on sale since March so I'm not sure that's the issue, but does anyone know any more about this? I've emailed the club but expect to get a reply from them after Round 23, so won't hold my breath on that...

I reckon it means they'll sell L3 seats at L1 and L2 prices :banghead:

Is this Demetriou investing back into the game?

Funny you should mention this - I tried just yesterday to buy ANY sort of ticket (membership upgrade, general public ticket) for the Hawks game and it all came up as none available.

Edit: General admission tickets are available from August 5 Does this mean you can only buy a general admin ticket and all reserved seats/seat upgrades are gone??

The way West Coast are going, this could decide a top 4 position...

Exactly NBH. It is totally mystifying why we are playing them for the first time in rd 22 and why we are playing at the Dome when we have had huge crowds at the G for Carl v Haw.
I have got a novel idea for when we do move to the G. I know its weird but lets play on a Saturday afternoon.

Wouldnt have thought so. West Coast will lose 5 games in the run home to the finals.

Geelong
Fremantle
St Kilda
Western Bulldogs
Melbourne

They will definitely win 3 of those. Fremantle and the bottom 2.
Depending on where St Kilda are at as well whether they win that too.

In previous years a ticketed match meant that members could pay the booking fee and receive an allocated seat for just the price of just a booking fee.
What a mess.

Hotty, the Dockers are just going ATM and the bye is more taxing on teams than playing Melb.

I reckon the rest are a chance but i wouldn't be betting the farm on it.

The question has to be asked. Would you rather finish top 4 and be flat as a tack in the finals or finish 5th or 6th and hit the finals in peak condition?

The club will have to decide that but if it were me i would go for taking peak condition into the finals know we have just had a late season bye. Top 4 would be great but i am not worried if we finish 5 or 6.

In years gone past, Hawks members were given entry to our home game as compensation for their Tassie deal, just like they did with the Scum the other week.

If this is the case then the AFL has to move the game to the MCG, you can't have it at the dome, not fair to the paying memberships.

Swann said on radio that Carlton enquired about moving the game to the G and were told that it is not going to happen in any shape or form.

It's "You better buy them now" status.

7000 tickets left for the Collingwood game too.

From the club

Quote:
Due to tickets for the Carlton vs Hawthorn being on sale from 1st March, Ticketmaster has currently sold all available tickets. Ticketmaster usually releases more seats week to week but is unknown to what day they are released. As the game being held at Etihad (capcity of 55,000) and the large number of members with Carlton and Hawthorn I strongly suggest to keep an eye out on Ticketmaster for more tickets as general admission memberships will not guarantee entry without a reserved seat membership or ticket. The game hasn’t been publicly announced a fully ticketed game but will more than likely be deemed this within forthcoming weeks.

It means that the first few rows of level 3 are pre sold.
