Might well have been John...Jamo's player sponsor. Normally on the ball.

Well that went well.

Um...

Quote:
Blues football manager Steven Icke said last night the club would not compromise on Jamison's recovery.
"He had a meniscus tear, it got repaired and it will be somewhere between four and six weeks and if it's slower, it will be between six and eight weeks," Icke said.
"It will be what it is.
"We have some pretty good rehab programs, which we think will get him back sooner rather than later."

Cannot give details yet but Jamo will be given every chance to get back earlier as a result of some recovery equipment purchased by the Spirit of Carlton at the clubs request.

We are all in the big blue endeavour together. If the club has the knowledge and we can help out towards number 17 we are all there together for the players and the club.

Thanks for the info SOC. Why couldn't the club purchase the equipment itself?

Could be any number of reasons. The most important thing is the club knows what it needs and it has resources like the spirit of carlton which are there to support the club when needed.

Might sound like glib marketing but it is not. The money anyone sends towards the spirit of carlton gets spent on valuable things such as helping out the current playing group for number 17. It is real, it is fair dinkum. Support us and you support the club in many ways.

It is POSSIBLE he will miss 8 weeks. Not certain yet. He would have only just had surgery.

If they're saying 8 weeks this early in the piece, then chances are it'll be 12.

I'm sick of injuries to our players always 'getting worse' the longer they're out. It's like when you're a kid and your parents promise you McDonalds "soon", but as each saturday goes by it's bangers and mash again (yes I have repressed issues) and it becomes clear they were lying to you to shut you up. Just give us a straight answer FFS.

Shoulda - Kouda- Woulda !!

WTF

Just like on the channel 10 news they said Waitey was wasting water at VISY park by backing his car into a fire hydrant.

They should focus on something more series like the Collingwood players involvement in the rape charges.

Goodness you people like to jump at shadows - the article discusses that the club will taking a cautious approach with Jamo because apparently he is valuable to us.

Sooooooooooooooooo if the knee doesn't heal well or quickly then they will take a 6 to 8 week approach with him.

It was merely speculation IF the knee doesn't heal properly.

Apparently Dawes could be out for 12 weeks if his knuckle doesn't heal properly as opposed to 6-8 weeks.

As with any injury, the time can be longer if it doesn't heal well.

Given Jamo's op, 4 weeks is reasonable.

I think everyone here needs to become familiar with the term "subject to on-going medical assessment." The bloke isn't even back on the track yet, relax.

Is that the space treadmill?

Agree, it was a Clayton's story, a story you have when there really isn't a story.

That is a stretch, I mean it started at 4 weeks and you think should now be 12 weeks

With Carlton games of about 10 years ago, I used to take the worst case scenario of the original diagnosis and add another 50%; that seemed to work. Unfortunately, these days, they tend to be more precise and it becomes harder to gauge.
