The Crows have beaten Hawthorn and Sydney. Does this mean they are better than us?

Jeez if we had of capitulated to Geelong and Collingwood I could understand the logic but that was far from the case in both games. Any team is a potential to lose when they have 5-6 changes and their best player under the weather as was the case vs Eagles.

I just don't think it holds much water myself.

Still, I'm all for it to be bandied about if it gives the boys an edge over the next couple of weeks.

Wow!!
Thanks marci that is excellent...
and proves that Hirdy is hiding falsely behind that 'aww shucks they're just kids' schtikk.
hardly any diff between our two teams there.

WC actually ahead in games and maturity...as are Collingwood....hmmm
and Hawks....bout the same.
Right..I'm gonna post that info into Harf for next week when Robbo goes on.
Ta!!
Where'd you get it?

The bit I don’t get is that in reality, most Carlton people would claim to be, at this stage, no better than the 3rd or 4th best team. The fact that we’ve beaten nobody above us, and lost to only one team below us, suggests that we’re exactly where we should be and think we should be.

Robbo is a one-eyed red and black airhead who leaps on and off bandwagons more often than Fev swaps bookies.

One win by Essendon* and he's back to the usual spin.

Let's face it: the haters will always hate us.
Personally I'd prefer to win by 100 points every week than get the thumbs up from some moron Herald Sun writer.

You may be right..
what annoyed me today was when he suggested that Collingwood had way more inexperience and kids than we did.
The above stats would tend to disprove his assumption.

Apart from falling short against the Pois and Cats, the loss to West Coast has diminished our recent 'contender' tag in many peoples eyes.

Not a bad thing at this point in time... a reality check and less expectation before the finals is good.

But a win against the filth in a couple weeks time will see the lid completely obliterated.

i disagree. robbo has been bullish about the Blues all year. he is putting the challenge out there for carlton to beat a good team. I think thats fair enough.

He is not one eyed. if you watch or listen to him you'll notice that. The Bombers pullled off the upset of the season. If they didnt get any press it would have been a shock
