Carlton defender Michael Jamison underwent scans today after suffering a knock to his left knee in Sunday’s Round 14 clash against West Coast. Results show he has a slight tear to his meniscus and he will undergo surgery tomorrow. He is expected to miss around 4 weeks.

I think they waited until I bought a membership and a CLUB 17 upgrade before deciding to play like crap and get injured.

be lucky to win a game with him out he is THAT important to our team...will not get within a bulls roar of the pies with him not there and the four is pretty much gone with this news...this is how significant this injury is...

Rotten news. Next 3 games in particular he will be sorely missed.

I thought earlier this year he would be the worst player in the side to lose to injury for any extended period of time.

Not ideal, but a chance to rejig the backline a bit and get some steely resolve into ALL players, that each and everyone of them has to defend not just the back 6.

How does that make sense? have u seen our draw for next 4 games?

I think this is the sort of depth test that is more realistic

If we can't beat Tigers, Dogs and Scum without Jamo, then we Carlton and Top 4 shouldn't be in same ballpark, seriously

its more against the pies that will be the massive blow! we would already be iffy trying to cope with dawes and Cloke but without Jamo I think this game will be more one sided!

Can someone in the know explain how he tore something in his knee yet was sent back on the field?

Yes, you'd hate to think he did more damage to it by going back on.

Anyone know why Bower didn't play in the twos on the weekend?

Time to get more games into Watson..

Back luck on the injury for Jamo, if the hawks can lose a few key backmen and still play ok, says allot about us putting all our eggs into 1 basket.

Why was he on Channel 9 saying he hopes to play this week?

yes said in the cons earlier today -why the hell such a valuable player is put back on the field for the length of time he was is mind boggling - dumb and unprofessional- ok see if he is ok for a minute or so maybe but left on far too long - went back and then because he couldnt run was put forward

Isn't ready.

Bower was an emergency for Thornton, so he didn't play.

Are they ever ready at that age... probably not... its a risk that sometimes you have to take...

Channel 10 said Henderson also had scans on his thigh but was given the all clear.
