Robbo has been fantastic recently but if we need him to beat West Coast over here then we're wasting our time.

Rest him, let his foot heal up, give ROK a game and see what he has, and smash the Eagles anyway.

This will be closer than the Sydney game.
Cox will keep them in it. Naitinui will disappoint.
Carlton by 28 points.
Murphy BOG again, West Coast no answer to the plethora of quality Carlton players streaming forward.

Kennedy to kick two goals.

Rate the eagles highly but they have a bit against them:

* have not won in Melbourne this year
* only wins they've had outside of WA have been against weak SA teams
* have only played Etihad once this year (lost to Bummers)
* their only win against a top 8 side was against Freo (8th) in WA

Flat track bullies ... let's see them prove themselves against the top 8 sides.

Anywhere recommended to watch the game in Sydney? (it's on Ch7 live)

They always have on at the Alex mate. Best AFL pub in Sydney. Several screens and the main game is usually on the big sceen outside.

They draw a crowd for Syndey games, other than that its pretty quiet so you can get volume and a seat.

This ^^^

The best thing about our team this season is the confidence our group has in the ability to cover players and/or positions.

At this point in time we're superior to the Eagles, playing them on our turf in front of over 40,000 people wearing navy blue.

It would be a cop-out if injuries are used as an excuse if we somehow get beaten this week...

Robbo & Curnow both late withdrawals!
Robbo for RoK
Curnow for Army!
This will be a good opportunity for these guys busting the door down! I like our pace & remember the Judd man has had a couple of relatively quiet weeks by his standards & I'm certain he'll want to light it up against his old mob!

Blues by 6 goals!

Great !!!!!! (Not)

Whats wrong with Curnow now ?

You watch we wont see the both of them for weeks now, as Carltons late withdrawls end up being long term injuries.

From Molly1

"robbo has an ongoing foot problem which may have caught up with him...unlikely that he will play.

curnow has been labelled as definitely out to be replaced by armfield."

It's a) mid season and b) we've just played 3 games on the Etihad concrete.

Possibly the club are simply being ultra cautious and trying to get experience into younger players.

Was it Earl Spalding who was meant to miss a couple of weeks, only to never play again?

I recall him being injured in a game in '96, the reports being nothing too serious, yet he never played again.
