Mil Hanna, you haven't had a decent beer until you've had a schooner. Pots are for the vertically challenged.

We just want all our youngsters to get a game and play well. Hence the Aussie call to arms.

I will pull my head in.

Give Aussie a run !

  As The team improves so does the mindset of supporters change.

When we were crap it is the 'Woe is me, why we so pitiful' syndrome.

Now we are improving it's 'We better not lose to teams below us or else' syndrome

We are a fickle bunch.

Regards Cazzesman

Someone on BF saying that Robbo has a hot spot in his foot and will not play.
According to this poster
In Austin, Warnock, O"Keefe
Out Hampson, Duigan, Robbo

Hope not, this would be our weakest line up for the season.
Waite and Laidler would be handy right now.

I would rather lose to WC this week than Richmond next week.

(Of course I'd rather we smash both of them but if I had to pick...)

Yes, the past 2 years.

Bower is just regaining some touch after going up to the AIS and working on his running gait to help with his quad troubles. He'll take another fortnight to work himself back into good touch. Short of injury, Bower should be back in the first XVIII in the next 6 weeks.

If you're puzzled as to why we should do this, I direct you to his 2009 season, and his early games in 2010. When he is fit, Paul Bower is a huge asset to our defensive run, and combined with Jamison, Yarran, Tuohy & Russell, will leave the opposition helpless in attempting to cover all the possibilities.

..back then, we were desperate for defensive run of any sort, just some run.. ..backline has changed/grown significantly since then and we're not screaming for linebreaking defenders like we used too.... ..Bower isn't a smart dasher, he'll break the first line only to run into a dead-end up ahead, stagger, spin in circles until forced to let loose a high floating handball that sets up a team mate for a vicious tackle.. ..his forward kicking isn't flash either.. ..he has a lot of ground to cover, and will need to be better than his best form to get back into the side unless injuries offer him a shortcut back in..

The Toasters can act all flower, and load up on talls all they want down forward, but we've got defenders who can both play tall, and can burn off their opponents with their run out of the backline once the ball hits the ground...
Add to that a better Midfield depth and a Ruck division that caat the very lleast break even with theirs, and we should get the bickies come Sunday afternoon...

It would worry me if we had three inexperienced players in the team in O'Keefe, Tuohy and Austin.

If ROK or Austin takes Duigans spot, then Robinson misses, I would feel more comfortable with Armfield out there.

Ratts wouldn't have named Robbo if he wasn't playing. Just people stirring shit.
