question for the masses. when we play collingwood who have the 2 monster forwards if jameson takes dawes who goes to cloke if bower is not fit and running, thats my onlcy concern and only thing hindering us from taking 17

Austin.

If you think Mark Austin is capable of handling Cloke or Dawes in a final then you seriously know nothing about football. Austin is now played as a forward and if anyone was going to go back it would be Henderson.

While they continue to finish mid table, I bet Hawthorn would give back their premiership to finish ahead of Essendon* in 2009. :screwy:

That reminds me, I saw a pretty awesome punch-up in Swan St Richmond after the Hawks vs Bummers Rd 22 game in 2009 and then some drunk bloke burned his Hawks guernsey on the tram tracks. Good times.

Have a good feeling about this game. If we are playing Houlihan for his first game, injury aside, things are looking good for the blues. Come on the baggers!!!

For those wondering about who plays on Dawes, can they also tell me exactly when last season he became a regular in the team and playing a few games in a row?

I cannot ever, in the history of this great club, remember us having a guy who goes into packs head first at full stretch and comes out the other side with ball!!! God I love the guy!!!

1. Collingwood - Jamo to Cloke; next best (Bower/Thornton/Hendo) to Dawes. Cloke much better player on every level.
2. Good selection of Hoops this week - he has played well for several weeks in a row at Bullants and, when he was playing his best last year he was actually quite hard at it and tackled well. He is also faster than his loping style makes him look. I think Bower still in the plan but he really needs to spend a few weeks getting fit and not getting injured. It was a surprise that he was named last week after just 1 week back in the Bullants.

Will be interesting to see if Gibbs goes straight to Goodes or if we wait for him to kick 3 and then send Gibbs to him. I guess if they play him FF as listed, Jamo will take him (out of the game).
Also, who goes to O'Keefe and little Jetta. I reckon Carrazzo goes to Bolton. Mitch Robinson to sit just behind Kieran Jack on Tomahawk autopilot, triggered every time he gets with 1m of the Captain.

This game represents the final mental hurdle for me believing in the Blues in 2011.

Game 12 and 13 last season started our fall away from any chance of top 4 with loses to North and Freo, both at Etihad. 4 wins from 11 games in the H&A season from the half way mark of the season.

We've had plenty of press again, this is a test we have failed in the past few years.

The boys better be ready, this one sends a very big message to the doubters!
