Good news for the club - dumb news for the kid- should have taken the money and ran - football careers are short you have to make hay whilst the sun shines

He'll have plenty of hay by the time he retires
Maybe a job at Visy after too.

Playing with Folau sounds less enticing than playing with your mate Setanta.

My Tip is that Murph will be a Blue for life and play in three Blues premierships -at least....... with a Norm Smith Medal to add to the trophy cabinet. It would look nice next to his Brownlow.

edited once for my deplorable spelling mistakes.....

Brilliant!! Fantastic to see.

Not sure how, but I imagine by tomorrow, KB will have the Tigers in the early box seat to nab him in 3 years time.

And then of course, there'll be the Herald Sun headline tomorrow. Blue makes a blue? Sources suggests Murphy thought he was signing an Essendon* contract but mistakenly signed on to the Blues. Club officials and 'respected sources' suspect foul play is afoot from the Carlton camp.

Oh noes. Why didn't our defective administration lock him in for 6 years. This is a disgrace.

The carlton family and AFL industry will look after Murphy. He won't be missing out on anything other than being targetted as the best player in a weak side.
